Madison sat in the front seat with her headphones on. Before she would take the bus with Max,since she couldn't afford getting a license and didn't want anyone to find out about living in the Trailer Park. And it stayed like this, until November of last year, Steve found out and accepted it. So that's how she ended up in his car. He is probably ranting about something.

Robin is in the back, applying mascara with the small mirror, she borrowed from her. Madison took off her headphones now hearing the conversation more clearly.

"Are you guys even paying attention to me?" Steve asked

"Yeah-"

Madison twirled the cord of her Walkman. "No, I'm sorry, the song was too good."

" What are you even listening to?"

" Everybody Wants to Rule The World"

"Ah, nice"

Steve turns to the girl in the back.

"Robin what did I just say"

Her jaw dropped. "What, she wasn't even paying attention"

" Robin..."

"Cut me some slack please. It is 7:00 in the morning and I look like a total corpse." She touched her face.

"You're worried about a pep rally? You expect us to believe that."

"Yeah? So?"

"So, we know what this is about. We're not buying it. This is about Vickie."

Madison smirked. " Vickie"

Madison remembers when Robin told her that she liked girls instead of boys only a few weeks after the battle. And she's perfectly ok with it as long as Robin finds a girl that would treat her right. But if Robin had a girlfriend, she won't be able to hold hands or kiss in public without being called slurs or even worst getting beat up. That's why she only told them her secret, being Queer in a small town in Hawkins Indiana Is hard.

"Um, Absolutely not."

"It is. You know what else?"

"I don't care--"

Steve cut her off "You gotta stop pretending to be someone else when you're around her."

Madison shifted her legs to get more comfortable. "I wonder where you got that advice from, OH YEAH FROM ME"

Steve gave her a smirk. "Yeah but, look who's back in business."

Robin crossed her arm.  "It's not the same thing. Okay?"

"Well..."

"You ask out Maddie and she says no. Big deal. Nothing happens. Maybe your ego's a little bruised. I ask out the wrong girl, and bam, I'm a town pariah."
