"Draco"

There was no denying it, the light tone as well as the harsh familiar pattern of knock could only mean that he was standing outside.

"Draco please"

Draco stared at the entrance, his heart hurting and his brain yelling at him to open the door and envelope Harry in that tight embrace.

But he couldn't move for the life of him.

Draco heard a small defeated sigh and his heart squeezed with pain.

"Draco please, we aren't gonna get anywhere if we don't talk to each other"

That seemed to shock Draco out of his trance and he began scurrying around his apartment trying to clean up the mess he called his home. Chucking his shit left and right, stumbling a few times and quickly trying to freshen up his looks before opening the door.

He looked like he hadn't slept in years. Great.

He then clutched the door knob, breathing in as he did so. He was very nervous. Terribly nervous in fact but his heart was screaming at him to open the door. So he did, a short breath in and he opened the door slightly. Not all the way though, Draco wasn't that brave.

As Draco opened the door he felt his heart soar as he laid eyes on the face he had missed the most and he clutched the door in an attempt not to just engulf Harry. Harry pretty much looked the same as before, it had only been a couple of weeks since he last saw him but his hair seemed to be longer, tickling his ears in the cutest way. His eyes were still that same vibrant green however, they seemed more sad, that youthful glow not really showing up.

Harry bit his lip and frowned at Draco which made him feel self conscious.

"Well" Harry began monotone "You look like shit"

Draco winced a little bit at Harry's tone, embarrassment rising on his cheeks "The last couple of weeks weren't very productive" Draco mumbles scratching the back of his head.

They just stand there in silence and Harry sighs running a hand through his hair, his brow still frowned. He looked frustrated, of course he was, having your best friend confess to you then ignoring you for weeks would get anyone angry. However Draco had a feeling that wasn't the only thing he was angry at, he had a slight feeling in his gut, that overwhelming thought that Harry was angry because he had to be involved in all of this. Had to be involved in Draco's stupid love life, and now have their friendship ruined because of it.

Draco bites his lip trying not to cry, he didn't want to look more pathetic than he already did. Harry just sighs again and shakes his head then groans aloud which startles Draco. He then began to pace around in front of him, with his head in his hands then looked back at Draco dramatically. Draco was so confused he nearly forgot that this might be where he gets rejected.

"This is why I hate fights!" Harry says suddenly "I never know how to apologise!"

Draco raises an eyebrow at this "We're fighting?"

Harry frowned as if confused that Draco didn't understand what he meant.

"Isn't this what this is? Not talking or seeing each other, aren't we in the middle of a fight?"

Draco felt his heart break a little bit, hurt that Harry completely forgot the entire reason why Draco had run away in the first place, the reason he cried in that alleyway, the reason he's been locked in his home for weeks.

"Harry," Draco said. God he missed saying that. "Did you forget that I confessed to you?"

Harry's face turned into a bright pink and he cleared his throat "Of course I didn't forget, who wouldn't" he mumbled.
