She regrets rejecting him

Backstory:

So I recently read a couple chapters in a book about this girl who didn't like the idea of a mate and she wanted him to reject her. She was going to do anything to get him to reject her because she wanted to partake in the war against hunters but she knew he wouldn't let her.

Idea:

Using that backstory you probably guess what my idea is.

A girl/ boy who doesn't want a mate. So once they end up finding out there mate is the next alpha(not the alpha's son, in this story the alpha can pick anyone to take his position as long as they meet physical and mental requirements.) She wants to reject him because she wants to leave for the werewolf college(or whatever reason) so she decides to kiss the one pack member that always hits on her. So he rejects her and she leaves for the college.

Do included like 2 chapters of her experience at the school, seeing how other people her age had accomplishing so much even with a mate. A year or so later she comes back wanting her mate and wishing she never made him reject her. Comes to find out he's with this girl who was added to the pack while she was gone and wants nothing to do with her. You can have it where the new gf is rlly a spy from another pack, and the main character uncovers it and discloses what shes found to the pack. The pack members believe her but the alpha doesn't because of their history so the alpha is forced to tell everyone what led to him not believing her word but they still trust her and will do anything to help their Luna prove the gf is evil.

Plot Twist:

Of course you can make your own plot twist but here's 2 I thought of while writing.

1. The Alpha is the actual traitor and not the gf, he's been working with this organization to take down other packs so they could become the strongest in the world.

2. The Alpha isn't really her mate. The Alpha was wearing something with the scent of her actual mate(which was the beta) but he didn't want his best friend/beta getting hurt since he knew she didn't want a mate. So he went to a witch that could make it feel like a mate bond was breaking if he said those words. So when she came back she was confused on why her wolf was saying mate to the beta. The Alpha is then forced to say everything that happened and how the gf is his real mate. But in that year she was away the beta had a pup with his gf of 4 yrs m. So how will they overcome that barrier.

This is just a rough draft again you can tweak it to make it your own but still give credit for using my idea. I would need to read a story similar to this to add more details.
