We were all kids once.
There are kids who aren't afraid of spotlight. Kids who are natural born leaders, kids who knows what they want in such a young age. Kids who take opportunity without second thoughts. Kids who are compelling, competitive, energetic and confident.
Kids like Jang Wonyoung.
On the otherhand, there are kids who shy away from attention. Kids who are timid, nice and quiet. Kids who don't like to associate with others their age. Kids who are demure, modest and reserved. Kids who appear diligent and smart.
Kids like An Yujin.
How can two polar opposites with little to no similarity at all become the best of friends at such a young age?
Maybe, it's because of Jang Wonyoung's friendly and persuasive personality or maybe it's just the way she sees something or someone.
Or maybe it's because Yujin allowed someone like her to enter her life
"Yujin, come on! Just this once come with us, it'll be fun!" Wonyoung pouts. Palms lifted near Yujin's face, pleading for her to agree
"Wonyoung, I told you I have homework to do and the council will need me tomorrow early in the morning. That party you're talking about will last 'til tomorrow morning," Yujin grunts, tearing her gaze away from the devil-like-puppy eyes Wonyoung's throwing her way.
Wonyoung went nearer and fixed the girl's eye glasses slipping from her eyes, "You never catch a break! We've been friends since we were 9 and all you do in your life is school, it won't hurt to have fun."
Yujin chuckled, "Oh, you don't have to worry about me. I am having fun with my tasks,"
Wonyoung groaned in frustration, "I'm not talking about your type of fun, I'm talking parties... and boys or girls and drinks and dancing and having to unwind without the responsibilities of having to carry the entire school on your back!"
Yujin sighed at Wonyoung's pouty face. "You always do this,"
"And you always turn me down," Wonyoung snickered
"Fine, I'll come but only for an hour." Yujin said with finality in her tone
"Two hours?" Wonyoung smiled, "An hour, Wonyoung," She replied
"An hour and a half?" Wonyoung retorted
"I can't believe you," Yujin glowered
Wonyoung giggled, "Chop chop! Wear something comfy, anything is fine."
As soon as she left the room, Yujin fixed her study table and grabbed the comfiest hoodie jacket and sweatpants she found in her perfectly folded clothes.
While Wonyoung on the otherhand waited outside the house, texting someone on the phone with a sly smirk etching on the sides of her lips, she didn't even noticed Yujin walked out of the house she resides in
"I'm not staying until midnight, okay?" Yujin clarified as Wonyoung cling to her arm like a koala
"I know," Wonyoung fixed her glasses again, "We'll only be there for a small drink,"
"I don't drink. I love my kidney,"
Wonyoung chortles, "I won't force you, and I won't let anyone force you."
"I'm still wondering why I agreed to come with you, what am I even gonna do there?" Yujin lets out a dejected sigh
Wonyoung pouts, "We'll dance the night away! Come on, don't regret this now we're near!"
