David's day started with a bright smile and a positive attitude. As he sprang out of bed, he couldn't contain the excitement brewing within him. He was motivated to conquer the day, singing a cheerful tune as he prepared for his daily routine. After his refreshing shower, he strolled over to his desk to find the phone ringing. He picked it up and was greeted by Harrison's Parents.

"Hello David, we know we never told you this... but, we heard about there is a church in the next town near you, we were wondering if you can take him there? We will highly appreciate this, even though he's at camp, he still needs to go"

'Church? He never told me about that...' David thought.

David's face frowns with confusion as he heard Harrison's mother discussing church and worship. He had never known Harrison to be religious, so the sudden conversation caught him off guard. Despite his reservations about organized religion, David knew how important it must be to Harrison's family, and he was committed to respecting their wishes. With a deep breath, he approached Harrison who was deeply focused on mastering a new magic trick. David's brows furrowed as he tried to find the right way to approach the topic.

Harrison looked up at David with a wide grin, clearly enjoying the new trick he was trying to perfect.

"You gotta see this!"

He said, waving his hands, making a ball of fire appear, it floats above them, making a big BOOM, little fire sparks flew everywhere. He then took a bow. David's eyes widened as he watched the flame flicker and dance, then explode into dust.

"That's amazing,"

David said, trying to keep the awe out of his voice.

"I still can't believe you can do that."

Harrison laughed.

"Easy peasy, once you get the hang of it, It's all about the timing and the arm movement."

"I don't think I'd be able to do that in a million years,"

David admitted.

"I could never get the hang of magic, but it's always so cool to see other people do it!"

Harrison gave a self-deprecating laugh.

"It took me a long time and a lot of practice. But it's worth it when you see the look on people's faces. They think you're a wizard or something."

David shook his head, still marveling at the fire in front of him.

"I don't know how you do it, but keep up the good work!" david said.

Harrison shrugged. "It's just a trick. Everyone's got one."

David took a deep breath, trying to build up his courage.

"Listen, there's something I need to talk to you about."

Harrison's expression turned serious. "Sure, what's up?"

"It's about... church,"

David said, feeling his chest feel heavy, He had no idea how Harrison's religious beliefs, David was hoping it wouldn't be a big deal not believing in it too.

Harrison raised an eyebrow. "Church?" he asked, his voice tinged with surprise. "What about it?"

David took a step back, and frantically looks around.

"Well, your mom and dad mentioned that they go pretty often. And they wanted me to take you with me sometime."

Harrison's expression darkened. "They did?" he asked, his voice tinged with anger. David could tell he was hurt and confused by the request.
