Today you finally had a day off from work. It's been weeks since you were able to actually enjoy a day at home without being called in to cover someone's shift. Not to mention your little brother wasn't home today so you had the apartment to yourself. You had a list full of TV shows you wanted to binge watch and take-out menus from restaurants that you wanted to try. You even purposely turned your phone off just in case work tried calling you in.

All you wanted to do today was nothing. You sat down on the couch with a book in your right hand and a mug of hot coffee in your left. The TV was on with the volume low so you could hear the calming sound of the storm outside while you laid your head on the armrest of the couch and read. You felt so relaxed that you eventually fell asleep reading.

Loud pounding on your front door woke you up from your nap. Your eyes opened to your book laying on your face. You jumped off the couch confused as to why someone was banging on the door. Your body was still trying to wake up, your slipper-clad feet dragging as you made your way to the front door. The heavy knocking continued until you checked the camera next to your door. All you saw was a tall man standing there with his head cut off from the security camera.

He had on a light brown sweater over a white collared button up. The man's figure and pose seemed familiar but you couldn't pinpoint who it was. Until he bent over to put his face in view of the camera. Your eyes widened in surprise. It was Yoon Jeonghan, your younger brother's best friend.

You were confused as to why Jeonghan of all people was at the front door when your brother wasn't even home. And now you were internally freaking out because you weren't prepared for company. You were wearing pajama shorts and an oversized t-shirt that didn't match. The shirt was longer than your shorts and the large sleeves were rolled up but still hung close to your elbows.

Jeonghan has been friends with your brother Joshua for years so it wasn't like this was the first time he's seen you dressed like a hobo. You bit the bullet and opened the door just wide enough for you to poke your head out. You looked Jeonghan up and down for a moment, unphased by the Boujee outfit he was wearing. Jeonghan comes from a wealthy family.

"Joshua isn't home."

"I know. He tried calling you to tell you that we were going to study here but your phone is off." Jeonghan said.

"Oh...yeah. It's my day off and I didn't want work calling." You were feeling awkward now.

Stepping back, you pulled the door open and invited Jeonghan inside. He looked you up and down as you did to him moments before and smirked, letting out a quiet chuckle. You could tell he was making fun of your outfit in his head. You rolled your eyes and closed the front door.

Jeonghan took off his shoes, leaned his closed umbrella against the wall by the door and entered the apartment. Jeonghan has been over to your apartment numerous times to study and play video games with your brother. But he's never been over when you're home because you're usually working. And with that being the case the apartment was usually messy because of Joshua.

It's been a while since Jeonghan has visited and this time your home was nearly spotless. You even added potted plants around the apartment, making the air seem fresher and more enjoyable to breathe.

"Thirsty?" You asked as you walked toward the kitchen.

"I'll have water."

You grabbed two clear glasses and filled them with cold water. Before heading to the living room you rummaged around the refrigerator for a snack to share with the younger boy.
