"Peter, we need you at earth-768. The local spider is facing an anomaly on his own." Miguel told him, "Gwen, go with him." The two nodded, doing a light fist bump. A figure landed behind them, "I'll go." Her voice said, Miguel wiped the anger off his face. Y/n couldn't go, in no way would he ever let her go. Especially on any mission. Y/n was an anomaly, the biggest one yet. None of his technology could track where she came from, her DNA, nothing. Miguel chased her for months, only when her glitching came at it's worse he was able to contain her. Geometrical shapes and light covered her face from his view, the same that eroded her atoms every now and then. He had no idea how the girl survived so long without disintegrating into dust.

No one had ever talked to him like that, not since his daughter. Y/n teased him, provoked every bone in his body, even under all that smoke on her face he could tell she was smiling at him. He was more than upset about it. He was obsessed, so deep in her mystery he couldn't climb out. But he found himself not wanting to. Y/n settled in with the spider society, he said she was much too dangerous to let go. But had nowhere to send her back to. So Y/n stayed here, mainly playing tricks on the spider people or taking naps on the rafters. He knew so when he saw her legs dangling from the high ceiling. It made him so anxious he couldn't get a lick of work done when she did this. He had told her hundreds of times when she fell he wouldn't do a thing- but he knew it was an absolute lie. He would just stare at her slumbering body for the hours she napped, hands ready if she slipped even a bit. He ended up opting for webbing her to the pole. But then here he was- now worried her back would be sore.

"No." Miguel stated, "Why? Do you think I'm gonna turn on you? I thought we had crossed that by now." Y/n crossed her arms, most likely rolling her eyes under the glitching mask. "We have no idea how your atoms could react to theirs." "I outran you for- a while. I can handle a little glitch." "And how do you think I caught you?" The room fell silent. Peter covered his daughter's ears. Gwen cringed, before tapping his watch, that was their signal to go. Y/n turned her hand to them, The portal closed. "If I come back a pile of ashes- It'll be even easier for you." She fell back into her own portal, one made of glitches and shapes just as Miguel tried to web her. He knew she could take them- easily. But what if she glitched again? What if he wasn't there when she did, and that's when they did it? They take her away from him. He slid on his mask, "GO!" He commanded the spiders as his watch formed a portal to earth-768, after Y/n.

The fight was already seconds over the minute the spider's arrived, the anomaly of doc oc was in the red webbed container. "Record time, damn." Gwen sent it back to the hub. Miguel's fists clenched, "Find her." "Let's go, May." Peter adjusted his daughter's hat, he recognized this tone. Miguel was furious, and there wasn't much anyone could do when that happened. The three spiders spread across the city. It was only when he heard a crash in the alley did he stop. He ran, leaving only a flash of red behind him. And there she was, covered in baby raccoons. She had an affinity for the things, as he was ready to rip anything that had even caused a scratch on her- it was a nice change of pace. She cooed at the animals, picking one up with her knee so he wouldn't fall. Y/n didn't even notice the stalker there. Miguel wanted to keep it that way a second longer, the sight made something in him stir. Stir deeper than Y/n had ever made him feel before.

She looked motherly. A ping fell through his chest, something animalistic was charged. He shut it down before he did something he would regret- or not regret so much. He had felt something similar to what he had before, what he lost. A glimpse of hope at the end of his web, one he couldn't afford to lose again. Miguel sighed, "Miguel- look at these guys." Y/n rubbed her face against the smallest runt on her shoulder. "Come over here." He raised a brow, but let his mask fade away and approached the girl. "Stay still. I know you're good at that." Y/n wrapped her arms around his neck, letting the bandits crawl from her arm to his shoulder. She was so close he could see the little one wrapped around her neck under her coat. The same coat he just couldn't get her to take off.
