I'd stare down at him in disgust.

"Ronnette, my dear, don't ever disappear! Do what you want as long as you stay here... I need you now, I love you so much. More than you could know,"

I'd scoff at the last words of his sentence as I look at the positive pregnancy test on the kitchen counter with tears blurring my eyes as I bite my bottom lip from a sob desperate to escape as I look outside the door he's blocking that reveals the white snow pouring down onto the snow filled ground.

"The Christmas kids were nothing, but a gift and love is a tower where all of us can live!"

Were the last words I heard as I dash through the doors with my car keys in my hand along with my phone already planning to leave from that dastardly place.

~

I'd laugh with Riley, my daughter that's 5 years old, along with her twin, Jason.

"Hey Jackson?" I'd say my current husband's name for an upcoming question,

"Yes, Sof?" He'd answer instantly.

"Could you grab my phone? I want to take a video of all of us together,"

I'd smile at him because for as long as I've known him he's always able to make me smile.

He'd get up without hesitation grabbing my phone and handing it to me making me giggle, "Thank you baby."

I'd see my notifications and see an unknown number as I tap on it curious as to who it is reading the message,

7:00 Am - 'You could change your name or change your mind and leave our fucked-up place behind but, I'll know.'

He'll know?
My mind goes a blur repeating those words in my head trying so hard to keep myself together knowing exactly who it is.

He'll know.

He'll know.

He'll know.

He'll know.

He knows.

I start feeling the panic forming inside of me as I feel tears stream down my face as I look around trying to find some sort of comfort in this place as I look at the windows afraid, he's watching me.

I stand up as I run to close the blinds and crash down to the floor not having enough energy to keep me up as I sob trying to hold myself together.

I've run away to forget all about my past knowing changing my name just wasn't enough. It took me years to forget about him but he's back.

He won't ever go away. Running away, changing my name, marrying someone new, just isn't enough to get him to stop. He won't leave me alone and he never will.

He's obsessed.

~His POV~

I'd look at her through her window seeing panic set into her eyes. She's so lovely even when she's afraid of me, afraid of what I might do to her or her family.

Truth is I wouldn't do anything to her family, I just want her.

All of this was because of her.

She left me, I thought she would come back but, no. She left and married another bastard.

I've been watching her ever since I found her again talking to her new husband, who was her boyfriend at the time, at a cafe shop.

When I saw her, she looked breathtaking. I've been watching her ever since.

I watch as she abruptly stands up and close the blinds which makes me sad wanting to watch her more. I wait in the tree appearing unsightly as these words repeat in my head over and over again.

If you ever try to leave me, I'll find you, Ronnie.

If you ever try to leave me, I'll find you, Ronnie.

If you ever try to leave me, I'll find you, Ronnie...

~

I'd stare down at her bruised body in admiration to how perfect she still appears with the tear staining mascara on her cheeks as she sobs even more with me towering over her.

"If you ever try to leave me, I'll find you... Ronnie."

I'd smile at her name, her old name.

The name she had back when I owned her.

I recall the day she told me she'd leave me. She grabbed her car keys and phone and dashed for the door, but I blocked her way and I let her get away. I let her knowing I'd find her again, over, and over, and over again.

"I'm leaving, Phil! Let me leave now. I'm going to escape, but you won't know how or where to find me when I'm gone." She stated as if I'd let her escape forever.

If she ever escaped me, I'd drink myself to death inside. I have a cell just for her, her prison cell.

Thinking back to that day finding out her new name that she changed it to, Sofia, Sofia doesn't fit her at all.
"So-" before I could finish calling her 'name.'

"GET ME OUT OF HERE!" she'd yell at me.

"Get me out of here," she'd sob now.

"Get you out of here?" I'd ask as if I'd let her,

"Remember that text I sent you, 'Sofia'? God, the panic that visibly set into your eyes had me desperate to have you with me again."

I could see the fear set into her eyes as she realizes I was watching her, "'You could change your name or change your mind and leave our fucked-up place behind but, I'll know..." I'd repeat.

I'll know

I'll know
