Smiling mischievously, Icelynne snuck out of the palace during the council meeting knowing full well her parents guards were by their sides and this would be her opportunity. Her long elegantly blue cloak billowing behind her, she left footprints in the snow leading to the stables. She could not hide the smile upon her lips as she saddled her horse, and burst from the stable doors in a whirlwind heading for the villiage. Part I of her plan was done. She had escaped the palace unseen. Or so she thought.

Riding hard down the path to the village the towns people gawker at her presence bowing in the streets for her. Although Icelynne was rebellious, she was not a horrible person. Her heart was quite kind actually, and her smile could melt an iceburg. Keeping her blonde hair mostly pulled back for her parents sake, now cascaded in beautiful waves over her shoulders, over her silver gown that seemed as if it were made of lucid ice. Delicately sliding from her horse she smiled to the villagers and walked the market place looking at the jewelry and fine items that were being sold.

"They are so beautiful." She said admiring a snowflake necklace with a center gem looking as if it held a galaxy.

"Please my princess, a gift." The old woman said, but Icelynne smiled softly shaking her head "No I couldn't, I -"

"You should be back at the palace, in the safety and confines of the meeting hall with the rest of the royal family. Shouldn't you princess? " A strong commanding voice came from behind her, making her jump and causing chills to cascade over her skin like ripples in a pond.

Spinning on her heel her demeanor changing from free and content to frozen anger. "My whereabouts are none of your concern." She growled, even if she was taken aback seeing whom she was speaking to.

His long white hair was back in a twisted braid down his back, and he wore the black royal uniform of the knights that consisted of a black vest, over a midnight blue long sleeve, black leather pants, and black boots. His shimmering sword resting on his hip as he stood his elbow resting on his arm as he held his chin analyzing her.

"I see, out of the palace without permission again, are we?" His vice was coy and playful and seeing the blush rise in her cheeks with her anger only made him smirk more. "Come on, let's get you home."

"No I'm not going home!" She snapped many people looking staring at her, as she created a scene.

"Princess." He said calmly reaching for her, but her anger already to high, she lashed out ice going everywhere, destroying several shops. As well as throwing a pinning him to a wall. A panicked expression danced in her eyes and she took off on foot out of the village very upset. Groaning watching her run he pulled the spikes from his uniform sliding a finger into the freshly cut hole.

"Hmmm will need to take this to the tailors." He said as if unphased in the least bit by her outburst. Walking to her horse he smiled patting it's nose. "Let's go find your mistress shall we?" He smiled saddling the brilliant black steed and slowly trotted off after her giving her enough space to run.

After a while her chest felt like it was on fire. Panting frozen icy tears stuck to her cheeks she collapsed at the tree line sobbing hard. She had lost control again.

Being so young she still was not able to control her ice abilities, and often caused distructrucion. Try as she might though she could not contain herself, or the beautiful magic she possessed. Her home life made things hard her older brothers and sisters tormented her on her lack of control. She had no friends because most of the Royals from other kingdoms feared being near her. Keeping to herself most of the time, she was lonely and a demon of her own world. She did not belong.

Collapsed on the ground, she trembled and curled near a tree exhausted, and fell asleep between the frost covered roots. Her hood covering her head.

The steady knight saw her cloak at a distance and worried she may have been hurt quickened her horses pace to a gallop jumping off as he neared her. But upon seeing her asleep a gentle smile crossed his lips and he leaned down brushing her hair off her face.

He saddled her horse again waving his hand, a breeze swirled around her lifting her off the ground and into his arms not disturbing her sleep. Positioning her to the most comfortable position he could, he spurred her horse who stepped off into a steady trot. She slept soundly the entire ride back to the palce, and did not wake until they had returned.

He often glanced at her as they rode. She was such a wold spirit compared to the rest of the family they were nothing alike and this was not the first time he was returning with "trouble" in his arms. And it certainly would not be the last.
