16 : how's jaeyun?

Hyejin stared at her phone, waiting for Jaeyun response but nothing. Since this morning, he didn't reply her texts and yes, he cancelled their so-called 'date' just like that. As if he never ask her.

She groaned with it's almost hit midnight but Jaeyun didn't text her. She don't call him because it might annoyed him but when Jaeyun didn't reply to her, it's make her became anxious.

Oh, come on!

Her hands quickly snatched the phone and look at the notification. A big smile was on her face along with a hopeful eyes but it immediately dropped when she realised it's not Jaeyun.

Her colleague, Jihoon, was the one who texted in the company group.

A loud sigh was out from her mouth, full of frustration because it's not the person she had been waiting since this morning. She laid down on her bed looking at her room ceiling,

“What the hell is his problem now?”

“He just left the note without telling me that he left.”

“Well, if he is so busy then he should tell me. At least, a short text will be fine.”

Why he always make me feel like a bad person? Ethan was the one who inviting me for a breakfast and I don't want to leave a bad impression on him. Besides, we're just friends.

At least tell me if you are home or not.

I'm so worried, Jaeyun.

Hyejin bite her lower lips, holding herself from crying over her ex but she can't help herself. She could feels that Jaeyun is ignoring her and it's proven by what Jihoon said in the group chat.

“He can text Jihoon but not replying to me?”

“Now he want to act cold with me?”

“Alright, I'll do the same!”

The next day, Hyejin woke up a little bit late because she's still on her free day. She received a text from Eunju that invited her to the club and Hyejin immediately agree. She's bored and she needs a distraction.

And yes, Jaeyun still ignoring her.

Times passed really fast and Hyejin get permission from her parents first before heading to the club. Eunju and Jiwon already waiting for her when she arrived.

She excitedly waved her hand meanwhile walked towards them. She wore a white satin dress with a pair of high heels. Both of her pulled her towards the entrance and show their ID card to get in.

“Let's having fun tonight. Jongseong said he has something to do so I guess it's just three of us!” Jiwon said as she sat at one sofa along with her two friends.

“I'm so stress lately because of work. My boss is so annoying and he always nagging around. How about you Hyejin?” Eunju asked while put her hand up to call the waitress.

“I'm not going to work today but I think I can handle it very well at work. Everyone at the office treat me just like others but some people are jealous of me.” Hyejin answered.

“And Jaeyun?” hearing that Hyejin turned her gazed away.

Eunju and Jiwon gave her a coy smile, especially Jiwon. She asked Jongseong about Jaeyun but he didn't say anything so she needs to ask Hyejin and heard the answer from her friends.

Meanwhile Eunju, she already know this will happen. Not about Hyejin will work under Jaeyun's company but she pretty sure that they will meet again. The last gift from Jaeyun, it's obvious.

“How's Jaeyun, Ms Park?” Jiwon asked.

“What do you mean, Ms Choi?” she asked back and Jiwon scoffed.

“It's pretty obvious that you're still in love with him so I'm asking you how's Jaeyun reaction when he met you again? Does he flirted with you or he ignored you?” Hyejin lifted two fingers to answer the question.

“I see, then how you two become friends? Are you not awkward be a friend with you own ex? Don't get me wrong, some people can't see their ex's face again.” Eunju asked and Hyejin's awkwardly laughed.

She don't know how to start and where to tell because it's happened unexpectedly. Suddenly, she finds him and he opens up with her.

“It's a long story but we both decided to become a good friend to each other. I will be there for him and he will be there for me. It's pretty obvious that we both still love each other but I can't accept him just like that and he can't ask me to be his girlfriend without no concerns. We both need times.” she explained.

I still love him.

But, I'm too afraid to show.

I don't want the history repeats again.
