I grin back at him and walked to the lake. I sit at the edge of the lake, running my hand across the water. I look over at Liam and see him staring at me with his head tilted.

"What?" I ask, bringing my legs to my chest.

He seems to snap out of his thoughts and looked away, embarrassed.

"Nothing." He mutters, still not looking at me.

I stand up and walk over to an embarrassed Liam.

"Is someone blushing?" I tease.

"No." He says quickly.

Suddenly I remembered I have to meet up with the girls soon.

"You ready to go on that run?" I ask, biting my lip.

Liam finally looked up at me and replies with a smile, "Yeah."

I jog into the woods a little bit away from the lake. Liam runs the other way, catching my idea. I stay behind a tree and strip all of my clothes off, tying them to my ankle. I pull in a few deep breaths before shifting into my grey wolf. I walk away from the tree and walk to the lake.

Standing at the start of the trees, I look around to see if Liam is done shifting. In the clear water, I can see my reflection. Next to me, Liams wolf appears to my right. He's looking into the water at me.

I turn around and walk a few steps away from the water. Liam walks next to me and points his head in a direction we can run. I look in the direction he pointed out and nod my head once before running that way. He follows and soon, he's running beside me. We race, both of us getting in front of each other a little bit. We run for ten minutes and pause for a break on a big rock. I lay my head on my paws while Liam pants next to me. After resting for about five minutes, we get up and start running again. We run to the woods near the school when something stops me.

"Do you smell that?" I ask through mind link.

I watch him sniff the air and ask,"Smell what?"

I take a step out of the trees to smell the air again. It smells like pines and lemons mixed together in a beautiful smell. Something inside me urges me to go and find where the aroma is coming from. I step forward and almost run when Liams voice stops me.

"Sarah? What smell?" He asks through mind link as he steps closer.

I look at him and quickly shake my head. Backing up a few steps, I quickly say, "Nothing. Let's just finish  our run."

He looks at me skeptically before running again. I look back at the school, trying to see where the scent is coming from. With no luck, I turn and run the way Liam ran.

I've never smelt a scent like that before in my life. It was so enticing and manly that it caused butterflies to roam around my stomach. I run a bit closer to Liam and take a big sniff at the air. Nope. Definitely not him. My heart is racing, my stomach will not stop acting up and I just want to find the owner of that scent. I shake my head and get rid of an impossible idea. The idea crosses my mind and now its all I can think about. I come to a halt and wait for Liam to turn around before cocking my head in the other direction. We race back towards the school. We stand in the same place we stood last time and I take a long sniff of the air. The scent is very faint. I might have lost the chance to meet my mate.

A/N: Hey guys! Sorry this chapter was so short, I just wanted to try and get another chapter posted since I haven't in a while. I'm also sorry for the wait. I will try to update the next chapter as soon as I can.
