SonAmy: Valentines

Long Oneshot

Sonic woke up and sighed. He looked over at a picture of his girlfriend, Amy. He always kept her picture beside him. Especially when he sleeps. He always said she kept him calm after nightmares. And last night was a terrible nightmare. He rubbed his head in frustration. All his bad dreams were related to his loved ones. Mostly was Amy, and with Valentines coming up...he was afraid he couldn't be the boyfriend he wanted to be.
"Why is it that she makes me like this?" He asked himself. The truth is Sonic was madly in love with Amy. When she said yes to him...he actually blacked out. And all he could think about was her. He wanted to keep her safe from Eggman. He wanted to make her happy and smile everyday. He went out of his way to give her anything she wanted. And that was hard on him, because she didn't want much. Oh, yes, he was deep in love. Anyone could see that he was an excellent boyfriend. Everyone...but himself.
"I need to do something extra special for her. Something that will blow her mind!" Sonic smiled and stood up. On his way down to the kitchen he came up with ideas. "A carnival, a big party, a firework show, a romantic dinner." Sonic crossed all those out. He had took Amy to a carnival last week. And her birthday was coming up and he had BIG ideas for that. And the fireworks were going to be for her birthday as well along with the dinner. He sighed as he made breakfast.
"What am I going to do?" He asked himself. "She deserves so much" he growled at himself for not being able to think of other things. "I need...I need help." Sonic never asked for help involving Amy, but this was a big thing for them. This was Amy's favorite holiday, and their anniversary.
Sonic forgot to finish his breakfast and he ran outside. "I'll ask the witch for help." He smirked. They all called Tikal a witch because she was so great at herbs and potions. No one compared to her food either. And sadly, even Sonic admitted that her chicken soup was better than Amy's. But as he approached her house a certain person caught his eye. "Amy?" He asked himself. He turned back around and did a double take. He ran back to where he had seen her. "Hey Sonic" Amy smiled at him and gave him a big kiss and hug. Sonic smiled at her embrace. "God you look good" he told her. Amy raised an eyebrow. "You haven't even seen good yet" she smiled. Sonic smirked and blushed madly when a very...let's just say...mature image popped in his head. (Not nude...gross). His tail wagged and he kissed her. Amy smiled. "Welp, I better go. I have some plans of my own today." She smiled and winked at him. Sonics legs grew weak as he looked into her eyes. "O-Okay" he blushed as his legs wobbled. Amy giggled and released him. "See ya' Sonikku" she said and ran off.
Sonic started at her as she walked away. "God...she's so...so... perfect." He whispered to himself. He shook his head after a moment. "Focus..." He told himself. He started to run to Tikal's house.
Sonic quickly ran inside and asked for something to help him with Valentines day. Tikal had gasped at this. "You?! Need MY help?!" Tikal asked; to make sure she heard him correctly. "Yes, yes, I need help. This is Amy's favorite day and I have no idea what to do!" Sonic growled. Tikal smirked at him. "Just take a few drops of this. It should make you an even more perfect boyfriend." She smiled. Sonic rolled his eyes. "Yeah...perfect" he said. He reached for the small potion and took off towards his house.

Amy was at the store shopping for things to make a cake with. She had been looking forward to this for a long time. She had called over her friend, Sally, to help. "What about these sprinkles?" Sally asked and held up heart shaped sprinkles. Amy smiled and nodded. "Sonic's gonna love this!" Amy smiled and squealed. Sally giggled at her. "I wish Khan was like that. He hates sweets." Sally growled. "He says it messes with is 'core'." They both laughed at this. "He's been spending why to much time with Knuckles and Vector." Amy told her. Sally nodded and smirked. "So, do you know what Sonic has planned for today?" She asked Amy. Amy shook her head. "I wish he wouldn't be so...so-" "so perfect?" Sally finished her sentence. Amy sighed and nodded. "He puts so much thought into me. I was going to tell him I wanted a normal day. Nothing big or extravagant today; it's just gotten boring. Don't get me wrong I love the big parties, but it's so much." She told her. Sally nodded understanding Amy's situation. "He just feels like you deserve the best." Sally told her. Amy smiled and nodded. "I think I have everything now, we can go."
Once Amy got home she started making her 'love cake'. She hummed as she made it. She couldn't help put dance as well. But as she was baking her phone went off. It was a text from Sonic.
