"Why are you staring at me?" That's the last thing I remember saying before it all went black and I lost my memory. I awoke in a black building Three days ago. Alone. I'm not sure how long I was asleep and I had no idea where I was. There was a bag in the corner. It was full of supplies. Everything you would need to survive. After three days I finally decided it was time to get out of here. Go somewhere. Anywhere. Maybe something would trigger a memory. I needed to find my family wherever they were. Whoever they are. When I stepped out of the building I saw a clear path through the woods in front of me. I decided to follow it. I walked for what felt like forever until I heard something. It was coming from behind me. I turned and saw people. On vehicals. They wore solid white lab coats and they were getting closer and closer. I started jumping up and down waving my hands trying to get there attention. My voice became muffled and I was on the ground a few seconds later. After the vehicals passed I saw what had happened. A boy pulled me down into the bushes.
"WHAT THE!" I screamed.
"Are you trying to get yourself killed?" The boy shouted.
"What are you talking about I am trying to get saved!" I yelled back.
"They would have killed you!"
"How would you know that?"
"Because they are people from the Uprisings government!"
"Uprising. What's that?" I could tell I looked confused.
"Uh. You seriously don't know?"
"Know what?"
"What the uprising is."
"I have no idea what that is! Three days ago I woke up in a.....Shed type thing! I have no memory. Of anything!" The boy starred at me for a good four minutes.
"Lucky. I would do anything to forget the uprising." The boy looked at the ground.
"What's the uh. Uprising." I cocked my head.
"A few months ago the government...They started killing everyone. No one knows why. They just did it. Most of us had to watch our friends and family get killed in front of us. Only few survived. By running. Like me and you. About a month ago a new government sprung up. A teenage boy. Out of all people a teenage boy. Ha. Well know if you don't follow his exact rules you'll die. But people like us who have ran. Don't even stand a chance. They don't like us. Sense we have resisted for so long. Well sense you are all caught up. My friend and I have a small camp set up. Would you like to come stay with us. It kinda looks like ya ain't got no where to go." The boy smiled and stood up. He extended out his hand and I took it. We walked for about a mile and a half. When we got to the camp I was amazed at how well thought out it was. Three tents circled a small fire and everything was laced with cameo covering. You could barley see it from five feet away. The only thing that gave it away was the fire.
"Well well lookie who we have here. Little Maxi has a friend. Oh my gosh its a girl!! HES A BOY!" his friend shouted out jokingly. Both him and the boy laughed.
"Hi I'm Cameron but you can call me Cam and that us Max." The boy smiled bright. I watched as Max took of his hoodie. He had bright blonde hair and blue eyes. He wore black shoes with splashes of blue here and there, solid black jeans, and a bright blue shirt. His friend Cameron had very tan skin and wore a matching black hoodie and jeans just like Max. Instead of blue splashed shoes and a blue shirt his was orange.
"My name is Shay." I smiled.
"Oh Shay I like it." Cameron and Max both joked. I smiled. I never really thought of it until now but I was starving.
"I uh..... Don't mean to be rude but do you by any chance have anything to eat?" Max and Cameron both looked at each other with wide grins.
"Hope you like fish." Max said as Cameron set down a huge cooked fish in front of my face. Himself and Max both had one of their own.
"Well? Watcha thaaank?" Cameron smiled. I eyed the fish for a minute. I looked up and smiled.
"It smells fantastic!"
