Hospital

It was the third day of Dan's hospitalization. Doctors had confirmed there were surprisingly no major physical injuries, just one exhausted tamer. Finally, she was awake for more than a few incoherent minutes around mid-morning.

The tamer sat up with great effort and a groan to scan the surroundings with a painful squint. A nearby nurse walked closer. "Hello Miss Danathael, How are you feeling?"

She remained quiet, brain still booting up. "I'll check on you in a few minutes, alright?" The dizzy girl nodded.

Dan blinked hard due to the pressure around her face and shuffled slowly as if unsure of the state of her own body. A yawn escaped her dry mouth. The nurse noticed her searching and walked closer. "Feeling better? Do you need anything?"

"I have a bad headache but other than that...just sore? Can I have some water please?" The tamer's hoarse voice responded.

"You've been in and out of sleep for 2 days now so that is normal. Let me get you something to drink." She spun around and was halfway out when Dan stopped her with a question. "Where are my possessions?"

"The gentleman that brought you in held onto them." The nurse's police voice was reassuring but Dan was slightly confused. "Oh, okay." And so, she was gone before the tamer could muster another response.

Just a few minutes there was a cup of water sitting in the side table while she got checks on blood pressure, lung sound and eye responsiveness. "Are you willing to take visits? There's a couple in the waiting room." The nurse asked when done.

A frown indicated she was unsure who the couple were. "Uh, yeah. Sure."

The tamer had downed half her drink when Carlos walked in to receive a chipper greeting: "Carlos!" Dan was caught off guard with her own over-the-top excitement and quickly returned to her drink with embarrassment.

He smiled and opened his arms in delight. "Dan! Finally! You had me worried sick." A female voice chimed in behind him: "You can say that again. You've come to visit every day."

The detective held the door open. "I brought Dr. Sasaya with me. I hope you don't mind." The scientist was holding a pot with the tiniest seedling.

"I've told you there's no need to be so formal. " Sasaya placed the sprout on the side table. "Here's a gift, darling. It will grow into a beautiful sunflower."

Dan leaned in to look with glee. "Oh! Thank you so much. It's so tiny, how cute!"

Carlos started conversation with a smile after taking a seat. "The staff told us you were pretty good all things considered."

The tamer nodded and put the empty cup to the side. "Yes but, what happened to me?"

His lips pursed with slight disappointment. "I was hoping you could answer that for me actually. I found you at the bottom of the tower and brought you here after the string of events that led to Konstantinos' defeat."

A myriad of memories rushed back to her at once: "Konstantinos!" Her eyes bounced frantically as her mind recollected. "And The Archtamers-" Her voice increasing in volume and speed with every word. "You defeated Konstantinos?? What about the Mega Zizare?? Where is the Professor? Is everyone safe?! "

Carlos and Sasaya spoke over each other trying to calm her down: "Oh darling!"-"Woah! Colega!"-"The situation is under control for now."-"It's alright."-" Please don't fret!" Dan took a few deep breaths, shivers plaguing her skin with goosebumps.

But a commotion down the hall interrupted everyone; there was distant yelling of a familiar voice approaching: "I will go wherEVER I PLEASE!"
"Excuse me! You do not have authorization to go there!"
