Embracing Mortality

In shadows' grasp, I find myself entwined,
A dance with death, where mortal fears unwind.
Through veils of darkness, whispers fill the air,
As I confront mortality's solemn stare.

Time's ceaseless march, it claims each living breath,
Inevitable fate, the silent touch of death.
Yet in this mortal coil, I strive to find,
A purpose, meaning, leaving no trace behind.

For death's embrace, a reminder stark and clear,
To cherish every moment, hold loved ones near.
In fleeting days, I seek life's truest worth,
To leave a legacy upon this Earth.

Though death may cast its shadow far and wide,
I'll strive to live with purpose, side by side.
