jeonghan has been ignoring joshua for the past few weeks now. he did it because he didn't want to get in the way of seoksoo.

seoksoo is a ship which includes dokyeom and joshua in it. there were lots of shippers in their fandom for that ship. it was one of the most popular ships, including, jihan, jeongcheol, and junhao.

jeonghan saw how many carats got mad because there weren't that many seoksoo moments anymore, and why there were so many jihan moments.

he saw that and decided to distance himself from the younger, his evil twin, and best friend of the group, just so their fans would be happy. but that didn't make him happy though. he couldn't handle a day without being with the younger since they were so close.

so he started to become even closer to seungcheol, hanging out with him more often, in front of the camera and behind. that's what made the fans both happy, and sad. their ship was sailing, having more interactions, but their other one was sinking.

"han, will you promise me that you won't tell anyone this?" seungcheol asked, he wanted to tell jeonghan a secret that only he and one other person knew.

"i promise cheol, i won't tell anyone. and when have i ever told someone a secret even though i promised not to tell?" he asked, a grin on his face. he was excited on what seungcheol was gonna tell him.

"just making sure you won't. anyways, i wanted to tell you that i'm dating someone!" he happily said, not too loud though, so not of the other members would hear. "you're dating someone cheol?"

the older happily nodded. "channie come here!" he shouted, getting the younger's attention. "what do you need hyung?" seungcheol brought chan to sit on his lap. "i'm dating channie, jeonghan."

you could see that jeonghan wasn't expecting that. his mouth was left wide open. "my baby?" chan nodded. "choi seuncheol, you better treat him what he deserves. anyways, how long has it been." seungcheol fake coughed.

"...a year..." he then let out another fake cough. "you dated for a year and haven't told me! i can't believe you guys." he put a hand over his heart. "sorry hannie hyung."

"and chan, can i still be close to cheol?" he scooted further away, just in case the younger didn't want him near his boyfriend. "it's fine hyung. i know that you like someone else anyways."

the oldest one choked when he heard what chan said. "jeonghan likes someone? the yoon jeonghan?" chan got near seungcheol' seat and whispered who it was.

"that's actually not even shocking. you guys are so close to each other, sorry, used to be so close. i wonder what happened."

"the fans, carats. well, it's actually only the toxic ones. there are only a few of them though. we're a lucky group to have such a good fandom, respectful too. we definitely raised them well. those toxic ones just annoy me. they know i'm best friends with shua but they want me to stop hanging out with him. me being the person i am, i actually stopped. just so they're happy."

a frown could be seen on both of the couple's face. "han, you know that you don't need to listen to them, right? you could also be hurting shua. you guys have been best friends ever since you were trainees. it must be hard for him since you randomly started ignoring him, without telling him why."

"i'll think about it. and even though their toxic, they're still our fans."

"jeonghannie, can we talk?" joshua asked, interrupting jeonghan's conversation with cheol and chan. "yeah sure. i'll be back."

they headed over to joshua's room. "jeonghannie, why have you been ignoring me? you haven't been going near me anymore. i thought we were best friends
hannie."

"we are best friends joshuji. that's never gonna change between us. you'll always be my best friend." that made the younger smile. "but why are you ignoring me then? i don't understand that part."

"it's cause of the fans. i've seen some hate towards me since i was too close to you. they wanted to see more of you and seokmin, so i distanced myself from you."

"hannie, you didn't have to distance yourself from me. they're toxic fans, you don't have to listen to them. you really hurt my heart hannie. i can't handle a day without seeing or talking to you."

"sorry shua! i just care too much about what the fans think. even if they're toxic." he hugged the younger. "it's fine hannie. just tell me if you ever see another hate comment towards you."

"i will shuji."

"wanna know something shua?" seungcheol asked. "sure what is it?" me and joshuji told the couple that we made up, and i won't continue to ignore and avoid him.

"me and channie are dating!" joshua choked. "my baby?" seungcheol then laughed and nodded. "shua hyung, it's funny that you said the same thing as jeonghan hyung when we first told him. he was like, "my baby?" too."

"i guess we think alike since we're best friends. and we will forever be best friends, right?" jeonghan smiled, trying to hide his sadness. "right."

"only best friends..."
