*5 years later*
I'm not going," I said exasperatedly. Corey rolled his eyes. "Babe, we need to.. It's your family." I huffed and pouted life a 5 year old. "I don't care, I don't want to see that idiot of a stepmother." I was washing dishes and I felt Corey come up behind me and wrap his arms around me. "I love you, more than anything in this world," he said gently. I smiled and said, "I know."
I stepped out of the car. "I can't believe you talked me into this," I said to Corey. He walked around the car and said, "Let's just get it over with, okay?" I nodded and we entered my Dads huge mansion.
DING DONG! We stood awkwardly and waited for someone to answer the doorbell. A brunette middle aged woman opened the door. She was tall. Taller than Corey. She smiled a fake smile and shouted over her shoulder into the house.
"Honey! Your daughter is here!" She turned back to us and flashed another fake smile. "Won't you come in?" I looked over at Corey. He was staring at her. I kicked him. "Ow!" I shot him a look.
"What? What did I do?" He gave an innocent look. We walked down a long hallway until we reached the dining room. "You know damn well what you did," I whispered. "Okay, fine. I'm sorry."
I gave him a smile. "Let's just get it over with, please?"
