"Huff. Huff."
'You know what could be really good after some time away from home? Crepes.' The fifth user stated while Midoriya lay flat against a bench with a barbell held out over his chest, two 45 pound weights slid over each end as he conducted his work-out by himself in the early hours of the hotel weight room. Sweat trickled off of each tuft that would drop onto the dark matted floor and splatter, instantly soaking into the soft surface and repeating the cycle over and over again. 'I think crepes could go really well right about now, I'm thinking chocolate. Nah wait, strawberry. Yeahhhhhh strawberry crepes with a chocolate chip kind of sauce over them WHOO! That sounds great.'
'Is this really the sort of question that should be asked while Izuku's working out right now?' Nana asked. 'You're gonna throw off his game.'
'No, I can't lie either crepes do sound good now that I think about it.' Midoriya chuckled. 'Or at least, now that the fifth thought about it heh. I haven't had any in a while maybe I should see if Mom could make any.'
'Oh that's a good idea actually yeah, oh hey while you're at it you should tell your mother about the issues and trauma that you've been having that you won't say to anybody else.'
'Awohhh brother.'
'Heeeere we go again.''WHAT what what?! Am I wrong?! Am I a bad person for worrying about Izuku's health am I suddenly a villain for doing so?!'
'You're not a villain Nana I wouldn't dream or think of imagining you as such.' Midoriya argued. 'I just....It just kinda gets erm....u-uhhhh-'
'Ninth be careful for the love of everything that are crepes.' The fifth user pleaded. 'Because if you say the wrong words here then I'm the one who gets bonked for it.'
'-just..gets......a-annoyyyyying?'
*BONK*
'DUDE!'
'Sorry Fifth.'
'Well I wouldn't be so ANNOYING about it if you would just listen for crying out loud and do what you KNOW needs to be done.' Nana argued. 'You. Need. Help, Izuku. You need help, you can't just continue in putting this stuff off to the side and pretend like it's going to fix itself that's not how this stuff works. You act like it's going to kill you if you spoke to somebody ANYBODY about what's going on. This is your mother that we're talking about.'
*CLANG*
'Yeah, and that's exactly why I don't want to say anything about it to her.' Midoriya answered as he re-racked the barbell onto the hanging supports, crunching his legs up and leaning forward to sit himself upright. 'She's my mom, she's already dealt with enough trouble while trying to raise me I don't wanna add anymore onto her shoulders. You guys have seen my life for yourselves Mom was constantly on me 24/7 whenever I was Quirkless how do you think she's gonna act when I tell her about this? I'd probably wake up the next morning in a padded room with soft walls, a straight jacket and a padded ceiling she'd overreact the crap out of this sort of thing.
Mom's living her own peaceful life right now, and I don't wanna throw a wrench in there by saying I have stuff going on inside my head.'
'...I mean....We're inside your head.'
'You know what I mean Fifth. Look, Nana. I understand your concern about this and believe me, I'm not putting you off to the side or anything I'd never do that to you. But, it's been years since I've last seen or spoken to anybody here with the exception of my mom you think I could just walk up to somebody like oh I don't know, Uraraka and tell her that I have something going on? No, I can't, and I can't do that because for starters she has a boyfriend and he'd probably think I'm trying to get something with her, and two I just barely popped back into her life I can't just drop something heavy at her feet and ask her to help me lift it. Yeah I get the fact she's been my friend for a long time now but still, I don't wanna bring up something heavy to somebody close who I haven't seen for a while.'
