Chapter- 9

Avni was so exited when she was going to the film studio. She was expecting some good news.

May be he is back.... Oh god please.....Just send him back. I have already waited a lot.... Please, please, please.... She was praying continuously.

But her bad luck was not going away soon. All her hopes shattered into pieces when the guard told her that he won't back until this weekend.

"Why God..... Why are you testing my patience.... How long will I have to wait? I am literally fed up now. I am missing my family. Thinking about my mother my heart aches. She has already gone through so much atleast she deserves some happiness now. She has never done anything wrong to anybody than why all this happening with her. That property is the only security she has . Please God  have some mercy......." She mumbled.

She was going back to the mansion when her mother called her. Her face become pale. She didn't know what to say to her but she finally gathered all her courage and picked it up.

"Hello ma..... You won't believe. I was just thinking about you ...." She said while faking a giggle.

"Really.... I don't believe you... Do you know since how many days you haven't called me?.... What is this Avni?.... I am getting worried for you....." She said in a worry tone.

"Please ma.... Relax... I have already told you I won't come back until I meet him. He has to answer me..... I can't go back empty handed......" She said firmly.

I know Avni you are doing everything for me but it's enough now. You know here people started gossiping about you. Why are you away from home for such a long time? What are you doing alone ? and I don't have any answers for them......" Saying this her voice become heavy.

Avni could feel the pain behind her voice. Why is our society like this? Why everyone poke their nose in others life? Why can't they mind their own business? Avni was fuming in anger...

"Ma, stop worrying about what people say. No one was there when we needed them. I still remember how everyone left us alone when papa......" She couldn't complete her sentence as her heart became heavy.

"Ma.... Just trust me. I promise you, I will be back with Ayush. We will settle down the loan and get our property back. Please ma... Let me try...." She requested. Her mother had no option but to agree because she too knew what Avni said was right.

After picking Sam from school she came back home. Since she back Dadi saw the sadness on her face. She asked her the reason but Avni lied that everything is fine. She didn't want to give her any stress. It's her personal problem and she didn't want any one's help specially when it's Vikrant Kashyap's family. She still remember how he insulted her when she went to him for his help. Therefore she decided to keep it to herself.

She was feeling so low today. She knew she gave so much hope to her mother but she herself didn't know whether she would be able to do that. She was in her room thinking about all this when dadi called her for tea. After servings them tea she went out of her room. She was feeling suffocated so she stood in front of the window and started looking outside. The cool air coming from outside was touching her face.  She was looking up the sky and remembering her father. Everything was perfect when he was there with them. She never knew that life could be this hard. She was missing him so much. She got so overwhelmed by all these emotions that her eyes became wet and tears rolled down from her eyes.

She had no idea that Vikrant was watching her. She stood there for some time then dadi called her again. Vikrant was staring at her when he heard dadi's voice but before Avni could turn around and saw him, he immediately walked away and straight went to his room. After freshen up he decided to continue his work. He opened the script and started reading it but he was not able to concentrate. Every time when  he tried to focus, his mind started thinking about Avni. Her sad face was flashing in front of his eyes. The famous Vikrant Kashyap who never cared for anyone suddenly became concerned for a random girl whom he didn't even like.
