BEFORE I SAY ANYTHING ELSE I HAVE TO SAY THIS STORY MAY TRIGGER SOME PEOPLE IF YOU ARE AT RISK PLEASE JUST DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU DON'T FEEL YOU WILL BE ABLE TO HANDLE THIS THERE IS NO SHAME IN THAT DO WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU
I'm going to be writing these entries in hopes to give people a better understanding of what it's like to live with depression, eating disorders and anxiety without getting the help needed.
My goal in writing this is to motivate people who live like this to seek help and to encourage people to help others who are dealing with anything like this.
I myself have been living like this for the past four years and have been rejected help from multiple people. I don't want anyone else who is trying to reach out to deal with that, but I know some are regardless. But for those people, I want them to know that it's okay, and if they continue to look for help, it will come. You just need to look in the right places.
If you're young, the first place I'd tell you to go to is your parents. Now I know that for a lot of people parents are definitely not the best option. I am one of those people, but it's a start. The second place would be a guidance counselor or even a teacher you trust at your school. I know some people don't feel comfortable with this, but 99% of counselors will help you, and they will make you feel better. The next person would be a close friend that you trust. Now if none of these work out, look up a local counselors number or even call the DCF. They will schedule counseling and therapy for you, and if needed they could actually file a report for child neglect.
I encourage people to seek help and continue looking for it until they get it. It can get better.
