Optimus, Bumblebee, Bulkhead, Smokescreen and Dreadwing head through the halls of the Harbinger. The old ship groans from the weight of the Autobots walking through. Dreadwing leads the way, though unsure of where he is supposed to actually go. Tunnels lead to dead ends, empty rooms with down equipment lay within the rubble. Circuits ripped from the wall. Loose wires spark as they check every corner carefully. They make their way to the lab. Starscream still has tools lying around. Blood that had been spilled lay in spots on the floor.
"What was he doing in here?" Bulkhead asked, walking carefully into the lab.
"Weird." Smokescreen said, his optics wondering around the room.
"Creepy." Bumblebee beeps, keeping his weapons ready.
"Spread out and search for the key," Optimus orders.
The crew starts to move out around the room. Opening up drawers and cabinets or anything that can be moved. Everything coming up empty. The dearness of the room seeming to close in on them. The key isn't being the easy find they thought it would be. Dreadwing groans in frustration. After a few minutes of finding nothing, he grabs the closest thing to him and chucks it at the wall.
"He lied to us!" He shouts.
"Dreadwing!" Optimus warned. "He could have put it anywhere on the ship. We have to keep searching."
"But he told us it was in the lab." Bulkhead declared, grabbing and ripping a hunk of metal that was hanging off the wall.
As it came off and opening revealed itself and the key. It floated in a glowing light. Everyone freezes staring at the key. Optimus is the first to move towards it and grabs it from it's hideaway.
*With the others*
"I have a reading coming up." Arcee says while they drive through a deep cavern.
"I feel like we have been driving forever. This tunnel never ends." Hot Rod complained.
"It has not been that long. We just got in here. I'm sure you can still even see the light at the end." Shelby sits up and turns around. Besides the lights from the taillights, darkness is taking over, "Nevermind."
"We have been here forever." Hot Rod mumbles.
"Okay you two. We should hitting the energon soon." Arcee raises her voice over them.
Shelby and Hot Rod shut up. The only sound is their tires riding over the dirt. Rocks kicking up behind them every now and then. Then they get to a large opening and Arcee stops in the middle. She transforms holding a scanner. Shelby gets out of Hot Rod and releases her suit, while Hot Rod transforms. The three look around, hoping something catches their eye, but no glowing blue crystals can be seen.
"There's nothing here." Shelby pouts, looking up to Arcee.
"Something isn't right. We should be practically standing on top of it." Arcee states, looking around.
The three of them start searching around the area. Hoping to find anything resembling energon. Shelby uses her visor to see through objects, but nothing is standing out to her. The three start to move back to the center and the ground begins to shake. Shelby loses her footing, but Hot Rod is quick to catch her. He brings her up close to his chest, protecting her. She struggles a a bit in his servo, trying to get him to loosen his grip a little. Vehicons start flying and driving in.
"Oh scrap." Arcee groans.
"Shelby hide!" Hot Rod put Shelby on the ground.
"I'm not going to hide." She shouts, getting her blaster ready in between Hot Rod and Arcee.
