Ch1. Who are you?

Eclipse

Waking up with sunlight shinning through your eyes is a horrible way to wake up and thanks to my genius self thats how I woke up this morning.Before i get ahead of myself i should tell you a few things about me. Hello i'm Eclipse. I'm 17....will be 18 in next week the day after graduation. I live with my mother Kathlin in Minnesota.I don't know my father mamma doesnt talk about him much just that he's a good man. She says he knows about me and loves me but i cant help but think how can he if he never came to see me....

Seeing how i wasnt going back to sleep anytime soon, i decided to get the day started.Picking out something to wear wasnt hard seeing how its a Saturday and I usually just relax around the house. Grabbing some shorts and my favorite hoodie i headed to my en suite. Looking in the mirror, i seeand instantly regret my decission to stay up last night and study for more than i was supposed to. After a nice hot shower and making myself look a bit less..rough i decided to head ownstairs to make breakfast for momma and myself knowing she wouldnt be upon her off day but turning into the kitchen there she was over the stove making WAY more breakfast than usual...ok whats going on

"Good morning mamma" I greeted my mother who turned to me with a smile

"Good morning mija did you sleep well princess" she asked which made me avoid her eyes.

You see mamma isnt mean or strict really by any means but she doesnt like when i stay up really late and overwork myself. Seeing my lack in reply and how i looked to the counter instead of her i heard a sigh come from my mother

"mija we talked about this i need you to be concious of your health. you get great grades as it is you dont need to overwork yourself my love"

"I know mamma i just sigh... i want to make sure i get into a nice college so i can get a good job...and take care of you" I thought i whispered that last bit but mamma heard it and came over to me

" Oh my darling girl i understand i do but as your mamma its my job to take care of you ok so please no more staying up until you pass out" mamma smiled and walked away...

wait how did she know i passed out ... oh well..

"hey mamma " I called after her. I need to figure out whats up with all this food. Clearly she didnt thik wed be able to eat all this..did she?

"Yes what is it dear ?" I hear her call from what sounds like her bedroom

" whats with all the food..we never eat this much mamma and im sure the girls arent coming over until later remember" I asked because im really confused right now. she had enough on this table to feed well over ten people it looks like.

"Oh that's for..."

knock knock

" why dont you get the door dear then we can talk" she says coming back out in...wait is that MAKEUP!! what the heck is happening.

"umm y-yes mamma" still shocked i managed to answer her.

Why am i shocked you may ask well cause mamma dont wear makeup. I have never seen her with it on and its not like its her birthday or anything oh well ill ask her later right now i need to answer this door and ask whoever keeps knocking to stop.

When i opened the door there stood a man well over 6ft with dark brown hair and grey peircing eyes. He just stood there and looked at me not moving or speaking. Behind the statue of a man were five equally tall men staring at me like im a fairy or something mythical i mean i know im short but can they not stare. After what felt like an hour I decided to ask if he was here for something seeing as i never saw him before

"umm hello may i help yo-AHHHHHHHHHHH" I screamed as big bulky arms wrapped around me in a tight grip

"MAMMA MAMMA HELPPPPPP!! PLEASE

" Wait its ok dove." says one of the other giants who was behind the statue of man still standing there..is he ok?

"who made her cry.!" says another one..oh he looks kinda scary

"Idiot we just got here and you already got her crying" says one who surprisingly had green eyes like... mom?

" Sorry for being excited to see her" says my captor who still hasnt let me down on my feet yet.

Can someone come help where's mamma..oh wait there she is....KISSING THE STATUE WTF
everyone around me seemed to be in a conversation. Mammas smiling like she had just seen an angel itself at the door, the giants seemed to have somehow surrounded me even if i was still in the arms if this one. Honestly i have no idea whats happening or who these people are and its starting to make me overthink...did mom sell me off... is she shipping me off to some like boarding school and replacing me with these giants..oh god i hope not.thankfully my enternal rant was interrupted by my moms sweet voice.. though her words werent directed at me.

"Nikloi put her down honey and i find it very upsetting how you five just waltz in here without so much as a hello to me after so many years am I invisible.?" she expressed with teary eyes which in turn made the giants and the statue panic and try to comfort her while also apologizing but one comment seemed to catch me off guard. The green eye one looked at mamma holding her hand and said, and i quote "there dumbest beings to ever make her cry". it was after that comment helped me get my voice back and i was able to finally ask the one thing thats been at the front of my mind since i opened our door..

"Umm e-excuse me...w-who are you.?" I managed to get out and regreted it instantly as all eyes fell on me once again.
