"Ah!" I yelped as I almost fell out of my bed. Thoughts were rushing through my brain, the chosen ones? Marks of five will fall or thrive? What in the world is this? I rubbed the little symbol that was printed underneath my thumb (Incase you were wondering it looks like a double rainbow) and stared over at my bright pink alarm clock. 6:00 AM it glowed. The numbers were changing colors. They've never done that before I thought to myself, but hey, its 6 in the morning I'm not fully awake yet.
I sat up in my little twin bed, the cold San Diego air outside came in from the windows and cooed me to climb back under my warm pink and green quilt, but I couldn't, I needed to get ready for school( I currently attend Walt Clark Middle School. I'm a dyslexic 6th grader with ADHD). My step mom, dad, and four year old brother already left, so I turned on the radio. A static version of "Shake it Off" by Taylor Swift was playing on the local pop station so I started dancing around in my pj's while I made my bed.
I threw on a pair of skinny jeans, a blue H&M tee shirt, and my Uggs. The hardest part about getting ready in the morning is probably combing through my thick blond hair and transfuring the half combed locks into a pony tail.
Thumping down the stairs, I ran to the kitchen and poured myself some ceriel. Every morning I listen to the same music: the Disney Princess radio station on ITunes Radio. You can never be too old for princesses! (Even when you're 12)
Munching on my ceriel, I hear something other than my crunching. Knock Knock Knock. The door? Now?
I walked over to the TV and paused "Part of your World" and walked to the door.
I peered through the peep hole and a strange lady was on my porch. She had wavy black hair, a long grey shawl, and snake eyes. Wait, SNAKE EYES?! I looked at her a little longer and noticed something shimmer into view. Huge bat wings. No, sorry bat is an understatement... Huge DRAGON wings.
I sprinted up the steps and something broke through the window. CRASH!!! The dragon lady flew through the downstairs window. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed so loud I swear I broke another window.
As I slipped down the hallway I made my way to Jonah's bedroom. Into the closet I went, scared to death. The dragon lady made her way into my brother's room speaking in a weird accent: Where it is! Where are you little one?
I backed up against the wall like a scared kitten. She had her scaly hand raped around the closet door. My heart was beating out of my chest. In tears I prayed to god Please get me out of this! And then it happened, I fell through the wall, well the shadows. The dragon lady almost caught my shirt but I got away.
I felt like Alice, falling down an unknown hole. Other than I wasn't landing on random rocking chairs and getting warmed by the floating fireplace. It was cold, dark, and there were weird noises that would scare a T-Rex. It didn't feel safe at all, and after the morning I just had, that's all I wanted, to land somewhere safe.
Then, all of a sudden I was blinded by sunlight and fell to the ground. I was in a forest. A little green girl with leaves in her hair shrieked and turned into a berry bush. Confused I looked around. In front of me was a huge sign lit with torches. It took me a minute to make out the words, but then it seemed like my dyslexia vanished. The sign now clearly read out: Camp Half Blood. About a second later exhausted from falling I passed out against an pine tree.
