"So your father is the one who sold me the house?" she asked and I nod.
"How old are you?" she asked
"Twenty- three," I answered
"And you?"
"Twenty-five," she said and I nod before drinking from my glass.
"Ask me something," she said and I hummed.
"Are you single?" I asked bluntly and she looked at her plate.
"I'm sorry I shouldn't have asked-"
"I'm married," she said while looking up at me.
"I'm married to my art," she corrected herself and I smiled.
"Oh,"
"I'm insanely in love with her," she said with a bright smile.
We both shared a warm smile before I spoke again.
"When did you decide that you wanted to become an artist?"
"In my teens," she said and I nod.
"What made you choose to paint erotic things?" I asked
"Erotic paintings are images without context, it's a pure and nude scene that transgresses the norm by making the private, the intimate, and the sexual, public. Expressing the infinite power and beauty of the subconscious,"
"Wow," I said and she smiled.
"It's like art has a voice, you know. If you listen carefully you'll hear its powerful message," she said.
"True," I said and she nods.
"What inspires you the most?"
"My inner feelings and wild imaginations," she said and I rest my chin inside my palm.
She leans forward as she stares into my eyes. It was as if she was staring into my soul with those magical blue eyes.
"How would you feel to be interviewed by one of Washington's biggest reporters?"
"If you can make it happen, boss. I would be honored," she said and I picked up my phone.
"Well I suggest you start preparing," I said while typing on my phone.
"Emily was right," she said and I couldn't help but smile again.
"About?" I asked and just then the waiter came up and placed the bill down.
I grabbed my purse and pulled out my card.
"Hey, you're embarrassing me put that away. I'm paying," Jaylynn said while picking up the bill.
"But-"
"No but's Lettie," she said before standing up.
She walked away with the bill and I smiled. I placed my card back into my purse and waited for her to get back.
