17 : breakfast and nap

“Hyejin noona, thank you for let me go with you. Suddenly, my car is not working this morning and the only one I could think was you. I'm sorry if I burdened you.”

“No, it's fine Jungwon. At least I'm not alone this morning because I went to sleep a little bit late last night. I'm a little sleepy this morning.” Hyejin answered with a little smile.

“Are sure you can drive, noona? We can exchange if you are sleepy.” he asked again but Hyejin just shook her head.

Gladly, the project side only took 45 minutes from Jungwon's house. When they arrived at the project side, Jungwon went out first and leaving Hyejin take a few minutes rest. Her head is a little dizzy.

Others employees already arrived and some of them wore a safety helmet. Hyejin don't see any sign of Jaeyun there but she knows he must be at somewhere. Jungwon excused himself and went to Hyejin's car.

Hyejin rolled down her car's window, “noona, they said we can go eat our breakfast first. Daeun noona said, Mr Jake already prepared breakfast for us. Do you want to eat something I can get it for you?”

“Hmm, sure Jungwon! Can you get me the sandwiches and latte?” Jungwon immediately nodded and he excused himself.

Meanwhile waiting for Jungwon, she closed her eyes to take a few minutes nap. Last night was hectic, they went home late and Hyejin didn't get enough sleep. Thankfully, her mom was there to wake her up this morning.

After 10 minutes, someone knocked one her passenger seat window. Hyejin take a look and she unlock the door. She thought it's Jungwon who brings her breakfast but actually it's Jaeyun.

The golden retriever boy sat at the passenger seat with a paper bag in his hand. Maintaining his cold expression he handed her the paper bag while sipping on the iced americano. Hyejin took the paper bag with a questionable face.

“What the hell are you doing here? And where's Jungwon? He should be here in any second so you better leave this car, now!” she said but Jaeyun casually adjusted the car seat so he can laid down.

He keeps sipping on his cold morning beverage, not minding the stare given by Hyejin. Instead, he closed his eyes as if this is his own car.

“I'm pretty sure you are not deaf, Sim Jaeyun.”

Silence.

“Hey, I'm talking to you, are you not listening?”

Silence.

“I think ignoring me is your current hobby.”

Silence

“ Are you even listen, Sim Jaeyun?”

“I'm taking a nap. Can't you see, Ms Park?” he talked with his morning voice. Hyejin was taking back by his cold voice tone.

Hyejin scoffed while leaned back. She opened the paper bag and see there's a pack of strawberry sandwiches with a cup of latte inside. Not minding Jaeyun who taking a short nap next to her, Hyejin started taking her breakfast.

All Hyejin could think is what other employees would think when they saw Jaeyun in her car. Will they start another rumour or will they start to think two of them have an affair?

He looks so tired.

His hair looks so messy.

His shirt has so many wrinkles.

How peaceful his face while sleeping.

“If you are wondering where is Jungwon, I asked him if I can borrow his car to take a nap but he said he comes here with you. He suggests me to take a nap here, with you.” he suddenly talked.

“Where is your car, then?” Hyejin asked back and Jaeyun changes his position but no too obvious, “I asked my driver to go home and take new shirt at my penthouse.”

Hyejin just shrugged it off. She could feels her heart suddenly beating so fast. Oh, how come she could calm herself down at this moment.

The smell of Jaeyun's masculine cologne swirling around her nose. The smell that had been so familiar with her nose. The smell that she loves the most.

Jaeyun's perfume.

“Are you not going to ask me?”

“Ask you what?”

Jaeyun opened his eyes.

“Why I suddenly leave you at the hotel?”

“No need, you can leave if you want. I don't mind.” Hyejin crossed her arms.

The silence hit them again. She still mad at Jaeyun because of he did the last two days. First, he left her. Second, he didn't reply to her texts. And was so worried with his condition.

Jaeyun smirked, “someone is sulking, I see.”

“Whatever!”
