"Lilith, there you are!" Said the maid as she got closer to the golden hair girl, who sat on the ground in front of the lake. "The Marquess has requested for your m into his office. And please, you know better then to lay down on the ground, it's dirty."

"Sorry Arabella." Said Lilith, as her blue jeweled eyes looked at the maid, who's name was Arabella. As Lilith got up, she maid helped clean the dirt off her green dress, and soon enough took her to the Marquess office.

As they were now standing in front of the big doors to the Marquess office, Arabella knocked on the door. As she did so, from the other side of the door there could be heard a voice saying 'Come in.'

As Lilith made her way in, the doors closed behind her, and she now stand in front of the desk which was full of papers. The Marquess kept his eyes on the paper he had in hand, and soon enough took his glasses off as she lifted his head up, now looking directly at Lilith's jeweled blue eyes.

"So you're here." He said as he placed both his hands under his chin. "I believe you know why I called you for, right?" He asked as his green eyes seemed to pierced through her jeweled eyes.

"I do not know, Marquess." She said as she kept looking into his eyes, with a serious expression on her face.

"Right.. of course you do not know." He said as he rubbed the side of his forehead with his fingers as he closed his eyes. "We took you in, and raised you for you to be a young, bright lady." He said as he opened his eyes, looking back at her.

"That's right, and I am very grateful for your kindness, Marquess." She said as she lowered her head a bit as a way to say thanks.

And then there was a big, loud silence in the office.

"Well.." Said the Marquess as he cleared his throat. "You do remember what we talked about last time.. right?"

"Perhaps.. you mean that conversation..?" She asked as she played with her hair, looking at the ground as she did so.

"Yes, I very much mean that conversation.. so, have you done it yet?"

"I'm afraid we have not.. Marquess.. for I have not told him so."

"When are you thinking to speak about it with him?"

"I.. think it would be a great idea if you, Marquess, spoke to him about it."

"Right.. you may leave. But do not forget the main purpose for why I brought you here from the streets." He said as she looked back the the paper he had in hands.

"I'll keep that in mind. Have a lovely day, Marquess." And with no other words, she left.

As she walked out of his office and closed the doors behind her, she took a deep breath. She then made her way past the long hallway which by now, she was familiar with.
