Anguish of Love

Chapter Two

The class ended and all I could think about was my bracelet. Ella and I started looking, we searched and searched but didn't succeed to find anything. Nung napagod na kami we decided eat our lunch.

"Don't worry sis makikita din natin yun," Ella assured me as if we aren't losing our faith kanina palang habang naghahanap kami.

We ate at our favorite restaurant and decided to stay to rest there for a moment. The place was cozy, kahit maraming studyanteng pumupunta, tahimihik parin at malinis. We started eating here because they are serving our comfort foods and it's one of the best. Ella begged for us to eat an ice cream dahil gusto niya daw at masyado siyang napagod. I just agreed and said that I'll pay for it as my gratitude. Ella went to the bathroom kasi mag re-retouch daw siya dahil nabura yung make up niya dahil sa pagahahanap na ginawa namin.

I just sat quietly and stared at my phone.

"Hi miss!."

I put my phone down to see kung sino yung tumawag or kung ako man yung tinawag. I saw a guy, probably a year or two older than me. I made an awkward look since umupo na siya sa upuan sa harap ko, Ella's place.

"Excuse me? I'm with someone." I dryly said para umalis na din siya.

"Oh! I don't have a plan sitting with you, may nagpapabigay lang ne'to," then the guy showed something that made my two days miserable and sulky, it was my lost bracelet!. Before he could say anything again, I snatched it from him with a confused face.

"Pa'no napunta sa'yo 'to?," I asked since he was ready to leave na.

"Napulot ng kaibigan ko, sabi sa'yo daw," he answered. Tapos biglang umalis.

I am so confused! How did they know that it was mine and where did they find it?. Gusto kong habulin yung nagbigay but he already left. But nonetheless, I am happy that my bracelet is finally in my possession but I am clueless kung pano napunta sa kanila. 

'Di rin nagtagal ay bumalik na si Ella. I told her what happened and she won't stop asking about the guy or if I know him. Aside from her and our classmates since our first year and now, I never saw anyone or kahit naka salubong who looks like the dude who returned my bracelet. But for now, I am happy that I have it na at 'di muna iiisipin kung sino man ang nagbalik o nakahanap. 

Maaga akong bumangon para sa susunod na klase. Three weeks and I'll finally see my province. 'Yun palagi ang inaabangan ko tuwing malalapit ang bakasyon. I can't wait to see the green field and inhale the fresh scent of my town.

Boses ni Ella ang sumalubong sa'kin pag-pasok ko sa classroom. She jumped at me and hugged me tightly.

"Girl! Sino na yun?, nag text ba o ni-add ka or follow?," sunod sunod na tanong ni Ella. I laughed and hugged her back. Wala akong natanggap na text o ano man, 'di ko na rin masyado inisip kung sino man yung nagbigay dahil ang importante ay naibalik naman at maayos. Kung makita ko man ulit, I'll say my gratitude. 

"Wala! Stop it, wala lang 'yun. Nagawa mo ba yung assignment natin?," tanong ko sa kanya.

"Hindi pa, next week pa daw yun, gawin natin sa apartment mo?," Ella asked. I nod at her. 

"Okay, but only if you'll cook for us," I answered.  Ella giggled and hugged me. 

"Okay!."
