Rose's Funhouse

What Did I do?

When Rose was alive she loved cats and always wore cat cosplay, some people said she looked so cute in her costumes. But, some were not very pleased with how popular she was getting. The people who despised Rose were Emma the school's troublemaker, Isabella the prom queen, and Beckia the daddy's girl. Isabella wanted to stay the most popular girl in her school and so she called Rose over at lunch and invited her to go to the lake cause it was a hot summer day. So Rose happily rolled over to the lake on her bike.

At the lake, the girls sat down on the sand and began to say, "I got some new shoes yesterday!" exclaimed Emma with a smile, "My mom is taking me shopping later for a party dress." yelled Isabella "Oh! Exclaimed Bekia, "You're not going to believe this, My dad got me three tickets to see Harry Styles this weekend!"

"Hey!" said Rose, " why don't we have a contest, the winner gets 200 bucks!" "Ok!" The girls had a contest to hold their breath underwater the longest. The contest was the girls went under the water at the same time and the first to come up was the loser. "Ok girls!" instructed Bekia, "Hold hands, we go in... three, two, one!" The girls screamed in unison. But when Rose tried to come up Isabella held her under and she drowned.

The girls then dragged her body into the forest and tossed her body into an old fox den and then ran away as fast as they could, "Well we got rid of the problem." Isabella said, smiling, "Why did you do that?" asked Bekia, a look of horror on her face. "She's gone at least," said Isabella, glaring down at Bekia. The next day in the school hallway the girls were talking next to the lockers. I knew you hated Rose but did you have to kill her," said Emma, still a little scared. "Look," said Isabella with hate and anger in her eyes, "She was getting in our way, I got rid of her and you better stay quiet."

Just then the color drained from Beckia's face and with a shaking hand she pointed "Look..." The girls slowly turned their heads to see Rose skipping down the hallway with a smile on her face. Just then "Hi!" The girls screamed as Rose stood next to them with her hands behind her back "Want to play!!" she said smiling, her tail twitching. The girls ran away screaming. And Rose just skipped away after them.

After school the girls met the lake, they stood over the fox den with pale white faces and wide eyes. It was empty. "Hello! You guys made it." The girls jumped in horror as Rose appeared, her white dress was spotted with ink, one ear cut in half, a twitching tail, her face and skin a pale white, along with some black liquid spilling from her eyes. "Come on," she said smiling. The girls slowly followed the skipping cat girl. Before the fox den stood a tall black and white house.

Inside Rose said, "Choose your cosplay, It will be safer if you are wearing one."

Emma stepped in front of the hangar and chose a bear cosplay, Beckia chose a snow fox, and Isabella chose a bunny. "Follow me, we're going to see the puppet show first," said Rose skipping down the hall. In a small room with a red curtain and some lights. "Sit down girls here!" said Rose pointing at three seats in a row. Emma, Bekia, and Isabella sat down,

"Look at the stage my friends!" The three girls looked at the stage and the curtains opened. On the stage, the puppets started dancing hand-in-hand.

The girls widened their eyes terrified as they realized the puppets were them but they looked different, their eyes were like Roses' and their skin was pale as paper, their eyes pouring ink and their mouths in a thin creepy smile, "Do you like the performance!" said Rose still, smiling. "Well, on to the next room, We meet Bells the clown!"

As they walked down the hall Emma felt strange, clutching her stomach she doubled over and vomited ink. Isabella and Bekia turned around and looked in pure fear as Emma stood screaming, tearing at her flesh as the color drained from her skin until she was as pale as a ghost. Her eyes rolled into her skull and ink poured out and stained her once-tan face.

She looked up and said, "Well why are you standing there let's go!" Isabella looked at Bekia who looked at her with a pleading look and kept walking. In a small room, they saw a clown, but he was weird and not a normal clown.

He had two heads and was on a unicycle juggling flaming heads. Just then Bekia started screaming as her skin tore and ink oozed from the cuts. Her head fell back and let out a blood-curdling scream.

Isabella reached out a shaking hand and said, "Are you ok?" Bekia's head shot down making Isabella stumble backward, "I'm more than okay I'm perfect!!" exclaimed Bekia, opening her arms.

Isabella backed up as Rose, Emma, and Bekia looked like triplets that had been drowned in ink, just then the three of them shouted, "Come join us sister, we can play and have fun forever!!!"

Isabella ran through the funhouse tears flooding down her face as she ran for her life. She wished she had been nicer to Rose, then her best friends would be alive and happy. A puppet scratched her arm leaving three black claw marks. Isabella yelled as she ran away from the fun house, "I'm so sorry Rose I should have been nicer!"

At the edge of the forest she turned and watched through foggy eyes the three girls playing Ring around Rosie surrounded by demons and shadow, then the girls stopped and stared right at her as she ran away.

Isabella ran and ran until she got to the police station. There she told them everything that happened to her and even showed them the claw marks on her arm. The police didn't believe her and told her to come back when she had a real problem. Isabella told everyone to fear the wood and stay away from them.

They called her crazy and didn't take her warning. A few years later many girls had gone missing in what the people called the laughing woods because, on the nights of a full moon, you could hear the laughter of girls coming from the depths of the forest. Isabella tried her best to keep the townspeople safe. If only they believed her. Maybe if they took her warning to heart as she died screaming from the horror the last words she said as she died were, "I wish I could save them!!"
