After fifteen minutes of what could be considered very reckless driving, Jay arrived at the hospital. He didn't hesitate to start running towards Lennox's room, dodging nurses, patients, and doctors as he went. Skye sounded worried on the phone, but he wasn't expecting to see Lennox in such a declining state. When Skye saw him outside the room she stood up to open the door.
"Thank God."
"What's going on? Is she alright?"
"Jay?" Lennox said from the bed.
He walked passed Skye into the room. "Hey."
"I needed you to come back, I'm sorry."
"No it's alright, it's okay."
"But what about Chelsea? You didn't have to come,"
"Look don't worry about Chelsea okay? I'm here." He took Lennox's hand in his own, watching her relax as much as her body would allow.
After a few seconds he looked at Skye. "Where's Caleb?"
"Coffee run."
"Okay. Did you talk to Will?"
"I couldn't find him." She shook her head as Lennox suddenly gripped Jay's hand with all her strength, causing Jay to quickly turn his head back to her. She was groaning with almost every exhale, clearly trying to control the speed of her breathing.
"Lennox?"
"It hurts, it hurts so bad Jay,"
"Your leg?" She nodded, wincing and closing her eyes as Jay frowned.
If it was possible to take her pain in that moment, he would've taken it no questions asked.
"How long has she been like this?" He asked, glancing at Skye.
"Since just after you left. She was fine, and then all of a sudden it got really bad and it hasn't eased up since."
"I need to find Will. The sooner her can give her something, the better."
He went to pull away from Lennox, but she kept a tight grip on his hand.
"No! No, please don't go, where are you going?"
"It's okay, Lennox I'll be back, alright? I need to find Will so that he can help you, I'll be right back, I promise."
So she reluctantly let him go, and he left her with Skye as he went to find his brother. He spent a minute doing a quick walk over of the wards, but resorted to the desk when he couldn't spot Will.
"I'm looking for Dr Jason? I'm his brother I need to talk to him."
"Dr Jason is in surgery honey, he won't get out for another hour or so." The receptionist gave him a polite smile as Jay sighed and looked back down the hall.
"Is it important?" She asked.
"Just tell him that he needs to see Lennox Rosewood as soon as he can. I'll be in her room, number 253."
"Okay, will do."
