Flash.
Lights.
Glowsticks lighting up the entire arena.
Turquoise filling up the oceanic crowd as the cheers deafened my ears, nothing, absolutely nothing, could wipe away the bright smile on my face.
Even my teammates, their faces were painted by the most beautiful smiles I've ever seen.
Our audience, the lighting staff, bystanders, the ones waiting to perform next, my teammates— my friends were all similar in that regard.
We all looked up to idols— we loved idols. We were idols.
We were competing against Eden, one of the big three, but from the corner of my eye, I could see.. Hiyori Tomoe, one of the main attractions in Eden's eyes were sparkling, watching our performance.
The feeling was mutual.
And of course.. the passion.
The passion on the stage, the passion you could see on each one of our faces.
The passion, Tatsumi, an ex-top idol of Reimei Academy held on this sparkling stage.
The passion, Mayoi, the renowned phantom of Yumenosaki held, guiding us all through despite the many mistakes we made.
The passion, Aira, just some ordinary boy, who had a big dream, held as he tried his absolute best to keep up with people he knows well is much better than him at the things he wants to do, yet.. he's never given up, has he? He truly never has.
He's been reminding, brutally even, right to his face, that he's.. nothing. So many times.
Yet.. he's still here. With us, ALKALOID.
Without him, we wouldn't be on this stage, because we're.. a team.
We're meant to be together, all four of us. We always were, we always will be.
And if someone gets in our way of being together.. I'll do my best to maintain our relationship!
Because I love them.
Each and every single one of them, our fans, our friends, us— I love everyone who's helped us become what we are today.
We were just some dumb underachievers before— especially me.
I was just some city dropout, you could have gone as far as to call me 'homeless'.
After the MDM.. our lives had completely changed for the better.
I wonder if Tenshouin would've truly kicked us out if we hadn't performed there.
He wouldn't have, would he?
Because.. we too, are 'idols'.
He loves 'idols'.
He's worked his entire life, to be what is an ideal 'idol'.
Little does he know, he already is.
Even I.. the 'dumb' one out of the group, know he's always been one.
His friend, Wataru knows aswell. He had made it clear that one time he talked to us, and he's smart enough to realize aswell.
'Idols'—
What is an ideal 'idol'?
It's simple.
