Everything was dark. Empty. The room was so small. So small. Rain was alone in the room, she tried to walk around as she tried to calm her nerves. It barely had three tiles in length, and two tiles in width.

She was suffocating.

She kicked on the walls, trying to get out. But there was no avail.

The room did not have door, no windows.

How did she end up in such a place?

Her breathing got ragged. As she started to panic, "H-- help." she blurted out.

She knew it was an useless attempt. No one could get inside.

She started to feel the room was getting smaller.

As if the walls were closing down on her.

"No-- No please--" and it all went black.

"Rain! Rain! Wake up!" Pennhung shouted as he tried to wake his sister up.

Rain gasped as she woke up. She was panting. Cold sweat all over her body. Her hands clenched together, marking her palms in crescent scars. "Wher-- Where am I?" She panted as her brother grabbed her hand, trying to snap her out of the sudden state of panic.

"You're home. You're in yours and Pennhung's room. You're here with Pennhung." he reassured.

Rain hugged her brother, and buried her head in his shoulder, "There were no windows. Walls kept closing. I thought I was going to die."

Her brother rubbed her back, as he tried to calm her down, "there's a door here. Window. It's open." he reassured as he turned the lights on.

Pennhung wasn't the best at comforting people. But somehow, Rain needed just him to feel at ease.

He was everything she had. Vice versa.

"Why are our children such freaks!?"

Pennhung was sobbing. Rain was with her brother, holding his hand, trying to ignore the hurtful things their father was telling them.

Every slight mistake the children made, they were put through horrible things.

Their father didn't understand Pennhung's condition, which cause him to lash out. Rain anxiety and her disorders were overlooked as well.

So here they were, listening to their father rant about how much he despised having children.

Rain wished for her mother to stand up for her children. It's not like she didn't try. But she didn't try enough.

Her children were going through so much, and nobody seemed to care.

Well it was Pennhung and her against the world.

which is exactly how rain and pennhung ended up in homeschool.
