When I wake up, I see nothing but sand and water around me. I don't know who I am, where am I, or how I got here. I looked up to the sky for some indication of time just to see that it was sunset. I had no food, no water, and no shelter and the day had already wasted. I get up and start to look for a source of fresh water to drink, and trees to build a shelter with. For a while, it seemed like there was nothing but sand for miles until I spotted a pine tree in the distance. Why was there a pine tree on an island? I began walking towards it slowly in case it was a mirage due to me having been unconscious in the sun for an unknown period of time but as I got closer, I started to see more trees and dirt. Somehow there was an entire forest surviving in the middle of an island. Baffled and mesmerized I walked through the forest taking in the picturesque scene when I remembered that I still needed to find water and make a shelter. I continued my search for water, and I was about to give up when I stumbled upon a small creek full of fresh clean water. With no hesitation, I bent down and drank from the creek savagely like a wild dog taking every sip in like it was the most amazing thing I've ever tasted. As I was taking one last sip and getting ready to leave, I started to hear ominous chanting in the distance. I stood frozen in my tracks listening intently. The more time I spent listening the closer the chanting sounded, and I started to panic then my instincts finally kicked in and I sprinted trying to keep track of the creek to see if whatever was chanting would appear but suddenly it stopped. I slowed down and looked at the creek from where I was. There was nothing there and it was completely silent. all you could hear was the running water and the chatter of woodland creatures. I stood watching for a while before noticing It was almost fully dark and I haven't built a shelter yet. I decided that I wanted to be near my source of water, so I walked a bit farther and found a clearing amongst the trees. I quickly gathered tree parts and made a small hut. Then, using a big piece of tree bark I made a door makeshift door to cover the entrance of the hut and was about to seal myself in for the night when I realized it was dark inside the hut so I went outside and made a small window on the side so the moonlight could come in and then I finally closed myself in the hut. I laid down on the grass beneath me and stared at the ceiling trying to fall asleep, but it was hard to sleep in an unfamiliar and what happened earlier still left me with an unsettling feeling knowing what could be beyond the walls of my little hut. As I kept staring at the ceiling I started to succumb to my tiredness and felt that unsettling feeling leave me as my eyes closed. After a few minutes I feel into a deep sleep when suddenly I jolt awake hearing rustling outside my window. Terrified I stood frozen laying on the grass listening to whatever was out there waiting for it to leave but as I waited the rustling only got louder and... it stopped, everything went completely silent. Slowly, I stood up and peered out the window. As I watched the trees, I saw something in the distance walking towards me, quickly I ducked down and laid back down on the grass and closed my eyes I didn't want to find out what was coming towards me so I decided that I would try to forget it and tried to sleep so that morning could arrive already. After a While, I started to fall asleep again when I heard the same rustling sound again. This time a mix of curiosity and fear got to me, and I stood up to peer out the window once more when I saw what was making the noise this time. to my horror, I saw what looked like a person walking in a circle prancing around with its ankles cut off wearing a white blanket over its head with a cut noose around their neck. As I stared at it intently it suddenly stopped and turned to look at me. I fell back onto the grass when the thing appeared outside the window. this time the blanket it was wearing had spots of blood on it. We stood staring at each other when the thing started to shake violently, the sky turned red, and it started to make a buzzing static sound. Then the hut started shaking to and the wind started to howl when something hit the side of my hut, and everything went black. The next morning, I woke up with a blaring headache and the feeling of exhaustion so intense it felt like the life was being sucked out of me. I slowly got up and left my hut to get some water when i remembered the sound of something hitting my hut amongst the chaos so i checked around the hut and found the words "REMEMBER" messily written on the wall in blood and next to the wall was a small book with a title carved into it that read "The Book of Fire and Blood." what was a book doing on a random island? and what was I supposed to remember? The book looked beaten up and old, so I open it carefully without breaking and to my surprise the pages were blank. I kept flipping through it searching for some type of writing but there was nothing at all. Finally bored of it, I tossed it into my hut through the window and started walking to the creek as I had originally planned to do. As I walked to the creek i realized i was hungry as well and thought maybe hunger had something to do with this headache beside what happened last night so as I was getting closer to the creek i grabbed some pieces of tree and made weapons to hunt later. When I arrived at the creek, I took a few sips of water then set off to find food. I wandered around the forest for a while when I spotted a wild turkey walking around. i snuck up behind it and stabbed with the wooden knife I had made from the pieces of tree and hauled the carcass back to the creek where I washed it before heading back to my hut and making a small fire to cook it. After I had my meal, I would explore the forest around the clearing where my hut was at. As I walked through the forest, I noticed symbols carved into the trees. Suddenly the sound of water appeared in front of me, and I kept walking only to find that I was about the walk of the edge of a rocky cliff and into the rough waters below. I sat on the cliff and looked around when the wind picked up a horrible smell. I got up and tried to see where the smell could be coming from, but it only came around when the wind would come. I waited for the wind the wind to carry the smell toward me then followed it to a small fire pit near the rocky cliff filled with what looked like dozens of dead fish. I covered my nose about to vomit from the nauseating smell and took a few steps back before heading back to the rocky cliff and sat on the edge for a little while more thinking about all the strange occurrences and things I've seen since I woke up here and tried to think about a logical explanation as to why I found a book and why what that firepit with the fish was for and who could've made it. I lied down on the cliff to stare at the gloomy grey skies when I started to doze off.
