Me, Joslen, and my brother are very close. But when my brother had the chance to go to the military, he took the chance and left in the middle of the night because he knew that dad would never let him leave

Ezekiel pov -

" god dad let me go!"

"No way, when I'm gone who's gonna look after your sisters?!"

"Joslen 16 and Sarah is 15 ! Their almost adults!"

"So! You can't just walk out of here, their girls! They can't fight. Besides after your mother di-"

"GOD ENOUGH OF MOM, She never looked after us! Neither did u. I was the only person who was able to take care of the kids, as a kid. I was 16 and taking care of all of u. Everyday. You had three kids and it was my job to take care of two of them because you didn't care for the first one, I had to make breakfast, get the kids dressed, take them to school, go to school, pick them up, make dinner, help them with homework, do my homework, laundry, dishes. Repeat. I couldn't leave without the girls because if I did something would go wrong. I worked my ass off to help pay the bills to get the kids in school, to do everything! After mom passed nothing changed! I'm still trying to get out of this mess, and your still an ass!"

After my brother said that my father backed off and went to his room.

Then Ezekiel packed his stuff and drove off to the military

Joslen's pov

After me and my sister woke up to are brother not being in his room so we asked our dad

All he said was 'I don't care. He's probably out drinking."
I frowned at the thought of ezek drinking.

Ezek has always looked after me and Sarah, not my mom or dad. Just Ezekiel.

Ezekiel has been a father figure to me and Sarah

Which is probably weird because he's my brother but when ever I get in trouble at school or at anything he's always there to help me or Sarah.

And when ever I have a parent conference he's always the one who shows up.
If I was in need of help, he would show up. If I was hurt, he was the one who would take care of it.

My dad cared for us but then my mother died 4 years after Sarah was born and after that he completely abandoned his family.

Ezekiel rarely talks to us because he's stationed in Japan but we still call from time to time

Sarahs pov

I was in my room listening to old Taylor songs when I got a notification

Thinking it was Matt, i grabbed it and clicked on it
