Bruises and Caresses

Chapter 7

"Meet me at the park in a an hour.." 

"Alright, will do. See you soon, Eren." Armin replied.

Eren looked at the clock, it was only 10:00 in the morning, so he had a long time until Levi came home at 4:00.

 ((1 HOUR LATER))

It was about 11:00. Armin sat at a bench in the park and waited for Eren. Once he arrived, Armin noticed he was wearing sun glasses and a hoodie that covered most of his neck and body. He thought it would be best if he didn't say anything about it..

"Hi, Eren." Armin greeted. "Ready to talk about the wedding plans?" Eren replied with a nod. Armin tried not to focus on Eren's many bruises. They walked down to the nearest cafe to sit and talk. About an hour began to pass and it was going on 12:00.

"I better call Levi so he doesn't get mad." Eren said as he stepped off to the side for a moment and dialed Levi's number.

"Hello?" Levi answered.

"Hi, Levi," Eren began. "It's 12:00, so I'm calling you like you asked.."

"Good." Levi said. "So, what are you doing right now?"

"Just relaxing on the couch, hows your lunch break going?"

"Alright. Just heading over to the cafe to grab something to eat."

Eren froze for a moment. "The cafe near the park..?" he asked nervously.

"Yeah, why?"

"Oh, j-just wondering.." Eren replied as he grabbed Armin's wrist and began sprinting from the cafe. "So, anything happen at work today?" he asked trying to change the subject. Him and Armin sprinted as fast as they could away from the cafe so Levi wouldn't see them. Eventually Levi got off the phone while Eren and Armin were far away from the cafe. They soon came across another small cafe on a corner near an alley way. "Sorry about that.." Eren apologized to Armin as they sat down at one of the outside tables. 

"It's alright." Armin relpied. "I figured Levi was in the area and that's why we ran." 

Eren let out a sigh. "So.. Should we pick up where we left off?" he asked, trying to change the subject. Armin nodded in response. 

((TIME SKIP TO A FEW HOURS LATER))

"Wow, we got a lot done!" Armin said as he began to pack up the papers on the table.

"That's for sure!" Eren agreed. "Thanks a ton for helping me, Armin. I really couldn't of done any of this without you." 

"Anytime." Armin replied with a smile. 

Eren looked at the time, it was going on 3:30. "Sorry to cut this short Armin, but Levi will be home in 30 minutes." he said as he picked up his bag. "Thanks again, Armin! I'll see you later." Before Eren could turn to leave, Armin stopped him. "Wait, Eren.." he said as he grabbed his wrist. "There's something I need to tell you.." 

Eren turned around. "What is it, Armin?"

Armin leaned closer to him. "There's something I've held in for a long time now.."

"Armin, you know you can tell me anything.. We're best friends-"

"That's the thing..!" Armin interrupted. "The problem is that we're best friends.. I want us to be more than just friends.." Eren looked down at him. "Armin.. You know i'm with Levi, I love him-"

"All he does is beat you, Eren! I could treat you so much better than he can!"

"Armin, I-" Before Eren could say another word he was cut off by Armin's lips crashing against his. He quickly pushed Armin away from him. "Armin, what are you doing?!" Eren exclaimed.

"I could ask you the same thing, brat." said a familiar voice. Eren turned around to see Levi standing at the edge of the corner of the cafe near the alley way. Both Eren and Armin's eyes widened.
