Mya walked to school, went about her day, and walked home. Everyday was the same for her. She had a few friends that she loved so much. Charlie was her best friend. He was in all but one of her classes. They went through the day together and split off at her last period class, History with Mr. Steiner.
"Hi Mr. Steiner" Mya said in a slow and tired voice
"Whats gotten you so down today Mya?"
"Just tired. It's last period though, right?"
"It sure is. Now have a seat and we'll get started."
Her friend Delia leaned over and whispered
"Teachers pet"
"Shut up Delia" says Mya
They giggle and get back to work.
Mya gets home and turns on the TV. About 30 minutes go by and she hears a knock on the door.
"Oh hello Mr. Steiner,"
"Hi Mya, you left your books at school."
"Thank you so much!"
"Of course, may I come in Mya?"
"Umm sure I guess, just take off your shoes."
"Thanks Mya"
