The next day, Drue was looking forward to actually going to her internship. It was the perfect opportunity to distract her from the bullshit with Virek. She hadn't slept the night before, but adrenaline was still pumping through her veins. Surely, it was still mixed with anger, but she wasn't going to let that ruin her day. At least, she would try.

When she stepped off of the elevator and into the lobby, the woman sitting at the desk was not Hilda. "Um, hi?"

The woman, also a blonde with dark eyes and pouty lips, looked up and smiled. "How can I help you?"

"I'm here to see JR. I'm supposed to start working here."

"Your name?"

"Drue Cordova."

The woman flipped through a stack of papers and shook her head. "I'm sorry, I don't see your name here. Are you sure you're in the right building?" she asked, raising one of her pencil thin eyebrows.

"Yes, I'm sure. Hilda was supposed--"

"Hilda doesn't work here anymore."

If this woman wanted to get into a pissing contest, she picked the right day. Because Drue was in no mood for bullshit, and she would gladly tell this woman where she could shove it. "Can you just call JR please? She'll explain--"

"I will do no such thing," the woman interrupted. "Like I said, your name is on this list and the only people getting past me have their names on this list. So, turn around and have a good day."

Drue balled her hand into a fist and started to say something until the door behind the woman opened. JR walked up to the desk and said, "Ah, good morning Drue. I'm glad you could make it in. I see you've met my new assistant, Tia. Tia, this is my new hire, Drue."

Keeping her eyes on Tia, Drue gave her a half-smile before she opened her fist.

"Come on, Drue. You can follow me. I'll show you to your office."

Emphasis on the word "office" made Drue's smile wider. Snatching her eyes away, she walked through the double doors and followed JR out of the room. "I think I miss the old blonde."

"Oh, trust me, I didn't hire her. My father did," JR said. "His way of trying to stick it to me, but we'll see who has the last laugh." She led Drue to the office that was right next door to hers. The light colored wood floors continued into the office. The walls were painted white, except for a feature wall that was painted in a coral orange color. A medium sized white desk was pushed up against the wall with a matching coral chair in front of it. Up against the wall beside the door was a closet and file cabinet. One wide window allowed for natural light to shine through its custom wooden blinds and underneath the window was a small circular table with two coral chairs. In the middle was a bowl of fresh fruit and a stack of folders.

Drue turned to JR, who smiled. "You didn't really think I'd go easy on you for your first day?"

"At this point, I would be offended if you did."

"Good, so get started on that while I get your paperwork processed. If you have any questions, I'm extensive two. Tia," JR said, clearing her throat. "Is extension three."

"Right, so stay away from extension three is what you're saying?"

JR chuckled to herself. "I knew I liked you for a reason."

"Oh, by the way, what exactly am I going to be doing?" Drue asked.

"You'll be working under Stephen Roth in EMD - the Entertainment and Management Division. Making sure every one of those contracts have been signed and faxed over to his office. His information is on the first page."
