How it started

Vanesa Angelos was born in 1952,daughter of immigrants who immigrated from cuba.Her dad Julio, was in a band called "los quatro" which meant (the four) they were very famous but broke up in 1939.Her mom was a nurse called Barbara. As a result of having such a talented dad and a supportive mom ,she was taught how to play the bass guitar and piano.

Biographer-she had so many unique qualities. One was that was that even though for being Hispanic she was extremely discriminated,she always held her head high.She had an incredible amount of confidence and would not let anyone walk over her.In addition to this she was an incredibly humble lady.She had grown up lower middle class so she knew what it felt like .By the time she was 30 she had donated to different homeless shelters 5 million dollars.And a thing I thought was quite interesting was that compared to the band she was almost always sober,which in that time was a quite unusual thing.

Interviewer-why did you stay sober?At the time everyone in the band was doing it.What kept you away from them.

Vanesa-well, there was a couple things.She chuckled.One part of me was doing it because my dad told me how drugs affected the lives of his band mates.The other side had promised to Camila to stay sober and take care of the band.

Interviewer-okay,can you tell me more about how everything started?

Vanesa-well I was friends with Warren since middle school,one day he told me about this so called band with Billy and Graham and Eddie. I mean honestly at first I thought.you gotta be joking,but he was really serious which you normally don't see in Warren so that told me everything I need to know.

Warren-one day Billy told me all of the sudden we should make a band,and Vanesa was like my sister,so I obviously told her about it and suddenly there were five of us.

Billy-"at first I didn't exactly agree!"

Graham-he said, and I quote "what the fuck! This is a rock band not some kids game,and he is bringing some random chick".

Billy-"okay, I apologize. When I first met her and played with her,I realized she had the talent necessary".

1967 was the year everything started

Billy-"in 1968, me and the band played at a bar.That's the day I meet Camila,she was beautiful.That same year we moved,and Added Karen to the band".

Vanesa-"Camila was ethereal,I knew I liked girls and boys since I was 14, i had a crush on a girl in my grade.I had come out to my mom,but telling my dad scared me.But to continue she was absolute perfection in my eyes,and then she fell for Billy. I was never one for drugs so instead to distract myself I went to a club.Funny thing is I never realized that was the club Daisy jones went to,until I met her because of Teddy".

Daisy-"Trust me I knew who she was I had heard about her, at the strip .She was quite cute, ha-ha!". At the time I did not remember very well,see drugs and alcohol can affect your memory quite a bit. Some time later I met Teddy,and that changed everything
