It was finally Saturday morning, and you found yourself sitting in a car with Akaashi, Bokuto and Konoha. You refused to be in the same car with Kuroo as Maria will be there so you decided to tag along with the Fukurodani boys instead. Well, of course you didn't tell anyone that. You just reasoned that you had motion sickness and wanted more space in the car so tagging along with Bokuto was the most ideal.

Bokuto, as usual, being so talkative while the others stayed quiet including you. Akaashi only hummed a few times at his stories. Konoha was sleeping like a log next to you.

"I can't wait to play beach volleyball!" Bokuto said happily.

"I can't wait to sleep." you added.

"Aww, you're no fun, Y/n." Bokuto said and then he started to ask, "Hey, what's up with you and Maria? Did you guys fight or something?"

"What do you mean? No, we didn't." you replied calmly.

"You seem like you don't like her." Bokuto said, secretly trying to dig up something from you. There's no way you would spill to them.

"Bokuto-san, I don't think you should.. say that." Akaashi interfered.

"No, Bokuto. Everything is just fine. I was just joking." you reasoned, and they didn't bother to question more. Then, Bokuto changed the topic.

After 50 minutes of driving, you finally arrived at the destination. The resort was pretty, and the weather was great. Akaashi really did a good job on finding a place to stay and the price was really affordable too.

Bokuto stretched his arms and inhaled the fresh air, "Amazing weather we have here! I love the smell of the sea!"

"Wake up, dumbass." you poked Konoha's shoulder a few times until he was awake. "We're here."

"God, really? How long was I asleep?" Konoha rubbed his eyes before looking at the window to see the beach.

"Since the moment you stepped into the car." you chuckled.

Then, you noticed Kuroo's car arrived as well. Yaku, Kenma, Lev were at the backseat while Maria was next to Kuroo at the front.

"My bro!" Bokuto called Kuroo. "We arrived first so we won."

"Did we even compete?" Kuroo raised an eyebrow.

Maria was wearing a yellow floral dress which looked pretty on her while you just wore a short denim pants with a plain white shirt. You didn't know why but seeing her being all pretty made you insecure.

"Hello!" Maria waved at Bokuto, Akaashi and Konoha. "I'm Kiseki Maria. Nice to meet you guys!"

"Nice meeting you, Maria." Konoha smiled.

"Aaa, so you're Maria. I heard you're Kuroo's childhood friend." Bokuto said and Maria giggled.

"Yes, I am. We were so close back then!"

"Let's check-in to our rooms, shall we?" you cut them off before carrying your backpack and walked towards the lobby Then, Akaashi followed you from behind since it was booked under his name. "Kaashi, did you manage to book a room for me?" you asked Akaashi while the both of you were walking together.

"Yes, I did. Bokuto-san suggested to just book one room for Maria and you. But, thankfully, you managed to tell me not to do that before I decided to book." Akaashi replied, and deep down he was curious why you didn't want to be in the same room as Maria.

"I just wanted privacy, that's all. I don't even talk to her that much so it's a bit awkward." you explained to him, so that he won't be suspicious anymore. And.. it worked.
