Tunnels

Another update, hope you like it!

Teresa POV:

Me and Tom were running with the others, but got blocked by two other people running in front of us. We tried to catch up but then WICKED guards would catch us. We hide behind a pillar and wait for them to pass as we are going to go catch up but, Brenda is in front of us.

" They're far ahead I know another way to get out. Hurry because the song is ending soon." She says.

We follow her while she runs turning at random points. Well obviously not random to her. WICKED guards are behind us trying to get us. Brenda takes a sharp left, but then backs up when she sees WICKED guards coming towards her. She tries to go to the right but the same is happening on both sides. Thomas runs to one side and knocks out both of them. Unfortunately two more come.

" Jump!" She yells and jumps off the platform we were on. Me and Tom look at each other, then he jumps first. I follow after him and land on my feet. A jolt of pain comes rushing through me. It doesn't hurt that bad because of the adrenaline, but I sure will feel it when we stop, if we stop. Brenda leads us to these pillars that are horizontal. She steps on one and keeps walking till the end of it. Again we follow her and Tom almost slips but catches his balance. WICKED guards are coming at us so I decide to risk it and run on the pillar. Luckily I don't slip and make it to the other side. I hop over the railing and wait for Thomas. Brenda has a worried look on her face and all of a sudden I hear an explosion to my right. Lights are shattering, fires are emerging, and the building is falling. Brenda runs at full speed then stops when she is about to fall. She looks around her till her eyes find an old elevator shaft.

" Over here!"

I'm on her right while Tom is on her left. She heads down the opening and safely make sit down. I go next and almost slip right when I get on the first bar. I timidly make my way down. Thomas follows after me. I look at our surroundings and it looks like we are in a sewage system. There are vines running along the walls. Some bacteria or moss is on them. There are many openings going in different directions. It is poorly lit and you can barely see. Above us the building has fully collapsed, enclosing us in, that doesn't help the light. Brenda pulls out a flashlight and moves it from side to side. I can see more clearly the disgusting place we are in. Each of us look around still taking in our surroundings. I think back to our Crank incident and there must be some down here.

" Okay me and Jorge always used to explore down here so I hopefully remember how to get out of here." Brenda says.

" Hopefully?" I ask.

" It's been a while."

" Well if we die then we die." Thomas says.

" We aren't going to die Tom. We are going to make it out of here, go see the shank called Marcus and then find the others. That is what we are going to do, we are most definitely not going to die." I say while shootings him an annoyed look.

He laughs then looks at me.

" What?" I ask.

" It's just weird hearing you use our language." He replies.
