My dad has been in prison for almost five months now and instead of sitting around and continuing to mope, I'm going outside.
I haven't hung out with Aaliyah and April in so long since we've all been so busy and it was needed. The clubhouse had low key become our new hangout spot so we decided to go there tonight.
It was always good vibes over there. Those girls at the club house really knew how to turn up and that's exactly what I needed to be around.
"You sure you gonna come?" April asks for what I swear feels like the fiftieth time. "I can just let Travis know we won't be coming anymore and not to hold the section for us."
We were all getting ready at April's place just like the old times. Usually it would be mine but now Ari and I live together so I didn't want him to be uncomfortable with all three of us being in his way.
"Girl, it's giving you wanna be laid up under your man for the night." I say while chuckling.
"Don't threaten me with a good time." She laughs while continuing to fix up her makeup.
"Aht, aht. Don't get her started." Aaliyah butts in. "Because next thing you know she's right up under Travis."
"I would never ditch you guys for no man!" She acts shocked.
"Girl, please."
April smacked her lips. "No foreal though. It's really y'all over these dusty men any day."
"Of course." I say while continuing to curl my hair. "It's vice versa."
After I finished up with my hair I unplugged the flat irons and then began to lint roll my shirt. Ari was going to kill me for wearing these shorts but oh well.

I kept it simple with a shirt, some denim shorts and my black and white dunks since I planned on getting drunk and twerking everywhere.
