Arriving at Katara and Sokkas village was interesting. All the small children surrounding you two, asking questions.
"Get back from the prisoners!" Sokka yelled, shuffling back some of the kids.
"Prisoners?" You and Aang questioned.
"Who gave you the ride here?" You pressed, "Who saved your butt from falling into the water because you were too scared of the 'big fluffy monster'" As you spoke, you got closer to him and poked his chest. "So if anyone's a prisoner, you are." You smiled and flicked his nose when he looked down at your hand on his chest.
All the kids giggled at the scene.
An old lady stepped forward, and everyone seemed to step aside and go quiet.

"They cannot stay here." The woman said, "They will lure the fire nation ships here."
"That's what I was saying!" Sokka yelled.
"You are the one who brought us here! And not to mention we could have left you stranded on that iceberg!" You shouted back.
"Yn, we wouldn't do that." Aang said, placing a hand on your shoulder.
You took a deep breath, composing yourself. "You're right, because we don't leave people stranded." You stared down Sokka and the woman.
Katara went to the woman, "Gran gran, we can't just leave them. He's the avatar, and they are the only airbenders left in the world."
You looked at Aang. He clearly did not believe it. You could hear it in her voice.
"They are only going to draw unwanted attention. They must leave."
"Then I'm leaving with them!" She stormed off.
There was a silence, and Sokka followed after his sister.

Aang and you were offered food and a warm drink before you two prepared to leave. You were told you could stay a day, despite your arguments to Aang, that they clearly wanted you gone. You stayed.

Sitting on a snow pile, you observed Sokka with the children. Aang had disappeared, saying he was going to talk to some of the village and try to convince Katara not to leave her home. You both regretted your own decision to leave. Why make another person leave?
You laughed as Sokka tried to teach the kids how to use weapons.
He whipped around, "What's so funny!? Think you could do better?"
Floating up and onto your feet, you smiled. "Well, I don't think it looks too hard. But I definitely haven't used weapons before. The nomads are strict about that." You took the spear from his hands and weighed it.
You took a stab at the air, but Sokka intervened, "No, no! You're doing it all wrong. All you are going to do is hurt yourself or someone else with that hold." He took the spear back, showing you how to grab it properly.
You took it back, awkwardly holding it. He sighed and took your hands, shifting them properly. "Like that." He looked at you and went around you, examining.
"What? Were you a voltcher in another life?"
He gave you an annoyed look, "No. But your footing is all wrong." He stood behind you and shifted your feet by nudging you with his feet. He sighed and reached around you to adjust your arms and hands again. His arms wrapped around you, and you could feel his breath warming your ear.
"Like this," He said. "This way, you are less likely to get hurt or attack the wrong person."
There were giggles from the kids. You had honestly forgotten they were even there. He quickly stepped back from you.
"Thank you," you handed the spear back.
He pressed it back into your hands, "No, keep it. You'll need it out there."
You both stared at each other for a long moment and snapped out of it when you heard an "Ooooooo~" from the spectating children.
He turned to them, his face a slight bit redder than before. You figured it wasn't just from the cold and smiled a bit. "That is not how you treat your commander!" He scolded them.

Katara and Aang came into the camp from overhead. You rushed over when you saw the panicked look on his face. "There! There was a fire nation boat with booby traps!"
Sokka came up, "The boat!? Katara, you know we aren't supposed to go there!"
"There was a flare that went up!" She said, out of breath.
"Booby traps!?" You said in disbelief, "You took him on some ship that was trapped and that you knew wasn't safe!?"
"Yn, I insisted." Aang countered.
"So she warned you about it, and you didn't listen!? Are you trying to get killed!?"
There was a cracking in the ice. You all turned your heads to see the ash falling from the sky.
"Fire nation..." Sokka said quietly.

The boat arrived quickly, an army spilling off rapidly. A young boy came out, a scar over his eye. "Where's the avatar!?"
Sokka charged him and was quickly set aside with a kick.
You looked at Aang. They were looking for him, and they did not look like they wanted to have a nice cup of tea.
