Arianna

Dominic when wandering in the night in searches of Esme. It would be was in love with her or something after just knowing this girl for barely fucking a day.

I was sudden jolted awake laying my bed irritated. And saw Dominic stood outside my bedroom window pressing his hand against the glass.

"Why the bloody hell are you waking me up at this hour for?" I screamed pulling the covers off my leg as I stormed out of my bed.

Annoyed.

With.

My.

Brother.

I opened up the window for Dominic climb through it. "Has Esme come back yet?" He queried wiping dirty off his trousers locking the window behind him.

An unamused scoff escaped my lips as I folded my arms against my chest, rolling my eyes flabbergasted and livid. "Well maybe she decided to leave and start another life somewhere else"

Dominic gritted through his teeth. "Or maybe she could be in trouble or worse dead" he cautioned. "She isn't my problem and she shouldn't be yours either, Dominic" I stressed pacing back and forth, rubbing my temple.

Glass shattered through the window starling me and Dominic. Our eyes were dead fixed on creatures snarling their shape teeth roaring their way inside of the cottage.

"Esme was right" my whole body trembled as I nervously licking my lips glancing towards Dominic for reassurance. Beads of sweat shinned on his forehead as he stood in front of me to protect me from the creatures.

We slowly walked to the door in an attempt to escape.

But.

That.

Was.

A.

Dead.

End.

As.

Well.

More of those creatures blocked our entrance. Dominic found his axe and stabbed one of them in the heart. I ran into the kitchen to find myself a knife inside of the cabinet. The sounds of swishing metal approached the cottage slashing the creatures down one by one.

Esme and Princess Ryia stood side by side in combat, ready and fearless. Dominic assisted them both killing two creatures lurking towards the pair from out of the bedroom door.

Although everything was happening all at once I thought about what the dad would do anytime a tough situation was arise.

Stand up and fight instead of looking on and doing nothing to help.

And I put my thoughts into my actions even though I was fucking petrified to do. I changed into my bedroom like an angry bull puffing from its nostrils.

To stab every single creature darting it's hollowing eyes towards me if their were a piece of dead meat from the loyal market.

Dominic, Ryia and Esme hurried in unprepared for what their were was about to see. "Holy shit!" My brother's eyes widened in awe. "I guess that you didn't need our help after all" he closely examined the dead creatures laid onto the ground.

"I guess not, Dominic I guess that not" I beamed standing tall dizzy with excitement. "So what do we do now?" Esme asked, raising her brows and glanced at all of us. "Well firstly" Ryia wiped the sweat above her forehead, cautiously looking around her surroundings.

"We can't take stay because this is the first place more of those shavers will look for us" the princess pointed out putting her hands against her hips to take a exhaling a deep breath.

I agreed, shaking my head observing the whole of my bedroom shattered with glass and broken wood from top to bottom. "Fair point" "but where are we going to?" Dominic pressed bulging his eyes while chewing his on lips.

"There's a hidden passageway under the palace, which leads to a safe room when any emergency would arise" Ryia clarified through her sparking eyes. "It's where me, mother and Hugo would go" She downturned her head and stared at the floor "Anytime the palace would be under attack by enemies"

"Perfect" Esme half-chimed lowering her voice, parting opening her lips lifting her sword firmly in front of her. Ready to face another battle that comes her way. "I'll lead the way" Ryia walked in front us and when our through the door aimed and ready.

Dominic, Esme and I followed her out into the darkness hearing the piercing screams of villagers being attacked by the creatures.

Known.

As.

The.

Shavers.

I took one last and at the cottage as a tear rolled below my cheek.

Not knowing if I'll ever return home again after the horrors of tonight.
