V'Oh, don't remind me of my childhood! It was all a FUCKIN' mess!'
Nols childhood was fairly typical for a kid raised on the outskirts of nowhere. For the first few months of his life, things were fairly normal. They had a great house and they were alright with everything, they were just normal people. Nol doesn't really remember the first few months of his life now, but they definitely happened. Until, one day, his parents had decided to go on a holiday. Little did they know, that wasn't going to end really well. As they were on their holiday , it was about a week in, something dreadful happened. Something that could even fill the strongest of peoples hearts with hopeless melancholy. And yet, Nol could not even comprehend the horrifying news he had witnessed that day. It turns out, his parents had been in a hotel, that wasn't very safe. Though it said it in its name 'Deformity Hotel', his parents were both dyslexic (making Nol dyslexic, obviously). They didn't know what deformities were, and they suspected nothing. 'What happened?' you may ask? Well..
Nols parents' room in the hotel, was infested with uranium underneath the floorboards and behind the walls, destroying their DNA, and turning them into, well, monsters. They eventually got driven completely insane. They ripped the walls and floors apart in vein, scorching every part of their hopeless and twisted existence. Both of them soon died of uranium poisoning. Nol was only about eleven months old, with no family now. Nol was an only child, and now he had to take care of himself. He was so young. All of his previous memories and experiences were gone. He had no real understanding of the world around him. Nol had nothing but pure instinctive terror. Everything in his environment made Nol fearful, afraid, and anxious. He spent his days trying to find ways to hide his parents' existence of true terror and sorrow.
When Nol was only about 5, he was already walking fields and harvesting food for himself, and he was a very poor boy. People around the nearby town the fields were near normally saw the young lad and look at him as if he was a monster (they knew how his parents died. Nol had not forgotten about what happened to them, and still grieves). When Nol was 7, the town now had a terrible food shortage as they had been attacked by an unknown group or force. Nol then decided to help them out. And so, his young self went out to the village and helped anyone in vein. People had lost their homes and families. The village was in a terrible state. But in a couple months, they had gained back their food, only because Nol started harvesting some foods from the fields and making stuff like cheese, milk or even bread. He shipped them away to them, in wagons that he had to push down a steep hill (sometimes it did not end well). The wagons were full of food, and Nol was able to help everyone recover. He was always so happy to help others. Eventually, the villagers started accepting him into their home. He became known as a good helper.
At nine years of age, the child was definitely too mature for his age, and eventually started earning some money for his kind deeds that he had been doing for the nearby town for about two years. Though, the boy did have some hardships without any parental figures around. It was just him and the animals raised there. Nol was (and still is) amazing at handling animals, with a strong connection with nature. Animals love him, and will do anything for him. He always feeds them food, water and other resources. Even the small creatures he takes care of are quite special to him. He loves animals and is quite protective of them. However, he does tend to get annoyed with most people who try to approach him and talk to him, or even try to approach the animals. The child had become antisocial and distant over the years, only at the age of nine and a half. Nols maturity for his young and small figure was threatening, though he was only about two feet tall, being a mountain dwarf. Most people would think that the child looked dangerous, and that scared them. But, despite the fact that many children are often bullied and bullied at a young age, the boy was not aggressive or mean. He just did not understand social norms or human interaction. He had never experienced it before, and thus, could not truly appreciate it. It bothered him, and angered him, when someone talked to him without respecting his wishes or boundaries. He simply refused to let the words hurt him, and continued to ignore the other. In short, Nol was a child with an incredibly low EQ. He would not even notice when others were being malicious, insensitive or rude towards him. It was almost impossible for anyone to communicate with him, or even attempt to understand him.
And so, his mind was not really focused on anything. He lived a pretty lonely and dull existence, which suited him fine, he preferred it that way. At least that way he wouldn't feel so alone. He was also very vulnerable and weak at his age, maybe physically, but verbally, fighting was so easy, he could be so mean to other people if they even dared to speak to him. His personality was cold and harsh. His voice, it was also quite weird. He sounded like a baby, and that's probably because he never had any adult figures to teach him how to speak, or walk. He walked with some sort of... swagger. He would even walk on his tip toes time to time, and that damaged the forming of his bones in his feet. He knew it wasn't too much of a good idea, but he guessed it was just a habit. The child was used to living on the edge, with little to no money and no place to stay. He needed at least some money, which at ten, you wouldn't have much of — at least, not enough to move — .
And so not much happened after his child years. He was now maturing, puberty was hitting him, earlier than expected, only really at 11. Maybe, his teen years will be much better than this.
'Oh, what a ride!'
