Spider Out Of Time (Marvel)

Footsteps echo throughout the empty and run down building in the more run down place of Nueva York.

15 year old Faye O'Hara was always more outgoing than the rest of her family, consisting of a mother, a father, and 2 brothers. However she lived with her older brother, Miguel, she enjoys his company more than the others in her family. Faye always thought of them as uptight while her family thought of her as too wild. She felt like she never fit in with her family so she had to find other ways to express herself, and that leads to her exploring places she probably shouldn't be at.

A faint blue tinted light comes from her holographic screen. She was recording her adventures to save for later. Faye walked the long, dark hallway, looking for something interesting to have fun with. This building used to be an old science facility and only day just closed down suddenly. Nobody knows what happened.

"There's nothing here." Faye whispers to herself, not wanting to draw attention to herself, just in case someone else was here. "Que aburrido, this is a waste." She decided to leave but faith had a surprise for her.

A sharp pain in her neck causes Faye to gasp and fall to her knees. She's never felt pain like this, it was different and unsettling. She puts her hands to her neck to ease the pain and once she puts them back down a small purple insect leaps down onto the floor. A spider.

"Who's there?" A voice screams out, causing Faye to get up and look around for the closest exit. While footsteps get closer the only way out was through a window. "Mierda!" Faye quickly made her way to the window, stepping and killing the spider instantly. She trys to open the window but the window seems to be stuck. "Come on! Please open!"

Once the guard made it to the room, no one was there.

She quietly opened the window of her home, trying not to wake up Miguel, it is 2 am now. Stepping inside the apartment, she lets out a sigh of relief, she was able to open the window with a problem after the second try. Little does she know that the window was supposed to be "un openable". She turns around to close the window to make sure no one would notice.

Light fills the room and she flinches, not expecting the sudden brightness. She slowly turns around to face the inside of the apartment. "Dónde estabas? " Miguel questions her while he stands at the doorway. He wears a loose white shirt with some black sweatpants, his hair was all over the place, much different than his slicked back style. He seemed, lost? "Solo estaba caminando afuera." Faye trys to brush him off, hoping that he would accept the answer. "Really? I checked the whole block and didn't see you anywhere."

"You went looking for me?" Faye moved away from the window and to the couch, this is not going to be good. "Well when you realize your 15 year old sister isn't home at 10, it causes some concern." She flinched when he puts emphasis on certain words. Yeah that wasn't good at all. "So I'm going to ask on more time, where were you?" Miguel moves closer to where Faye sits. She looks down at her hands that are laying in her lap.

"I was exploring again." Faye mumbles out. Miguel lets out about exaggerate groan and runs his hand through his hair. "Faye, we talked about this. You can't be sneaking around at night." Miguel sits next to Faye on the couch. "It's dangerous out there Faye, I don't want anything to happen to you." He puts a hand on Faye's head. "Ok?"

She nods "I'm sorry. I promise I won't do it again."

The next day she woke up with a fever that made her feel like she was on fire. Her limbs were to heavy to move and should could barely keep her eyes open. "Pobrecita, how are you doing?" Miguel walks into the
room with some soup and medicine. He had to take a day off after realizing that it was more quieter in the apartment then usual. All Faye can respond is with a grunt and she falls into a dreamless slumber.

Faye woke to due to the breeze on her feet. Usually her blanket was big enough to cover her but not now, maybe it fell off. Slowly, she gets up from her bed and moves towards the mirror. "What the fuck!" is heard throughout the apartment.

Standing in the mirror, it wasn't the 5'2 skinny girl that was usually there. Instead there was a 6'2 girl who suddenly became buff and had a purple stripe in her hair.

Quickly Miguel entered the room where he heard the scream but stopped soon after when he saw his sister. Being startled, Faye moved her hand towards Miguel and a white string comes out of her wrist and sticks to the wall.
