Lloyd sat in the passenger side of his 1964 Dodge Charger that he managed to buy with the help of his dad as he stared out the window absent-mindedly. He began to think about everything that happened back home and how life could be when he got to Beacon Hills with his uncle, but his inner thoughts were interrupted by the person sitting in the driver's seat.

"Son, I know that everything escalated too fast back in Texas and you kept everything to yourself, but we have to talk about this now before I leave because what you did wasn't the smartest thing to do."

Lloyd didn't seem to react to his father's words, or rather, he tried  to look that way as he looked through the window to look uninterested, but his father continued on with his rant to force his son to respond.

"What did you really accomplish with your actions besides making it worse for everyone involved? The only reason you are going to live with your uncle is because you got lucky-"

This statement finally got Lloyd to talk with his father as he suddenly shouted with anger about this situation as he looked at his father with a complicated expression.

"I DIDN'T GET LUCKY!"

Lloyd then paused for a minute before continuing as he looked through the window to distract himself from this conversation.

"He did."

Lloyd's father stayed quiet as he continued to drive. He looked at his son through the corner of his eye as he thought about the whole ordeal and sighed. He knew he couldn't get through to his son because he tried the entire trip, and this was the closest thing he got to getting a response about it from him, and so he simply said.

"Now I know that you don't want to talk about it, but we have to, and I will give you time to collect your thoughts as you stay with your uncle, but I just want you to know that this won't be going on any record due to the high circumstances of the event, and everything's been sealed due to you being a minor."

Lloyd didn't respond as expected as he continued to watch other cars or anything else that could really draw his attention before his father could continue, but it was in vain, his father continued on with his speech.

"Me and your mother decided to let you keep the car since it's the only thing that seems to keep you out of trouble, with that time being the only exception,  but you probably caught up since otherwise I wouldn't have gone through the trouble of driving all the way up here instead of just catching a plane."

Lloyd finally let his attention retract back into the car as he looked at it and remembered all the work he and his dad put into the car to get it up and running as it is currently. He lightly tapped the dashboard before telling his father.

"Thanks, and if you really want, then we can talk about it eventually."

The conversation seemingly died back down as they reached the confines of the town known as Beacon Hills, or rather the stretch of forest surrounding it. They still had some miles to go,as Lloyd's dad took the second right that came up. Which brought them to a small airport that allowed for him to get back home. They both exited the car and met face to face by the driver's side before giving each other one final hug for what can only be considered a long time. His father then let go of him before giving Lloyd some bits of knowledge.

"I won't be asking for much since you are an adult now, but just keep these four things in mind for me; Stay safe, out of trouble, be mindful of your uncle,he's special and finally get a girlfriend so I can have some grandkids."

Lloyd's dad turned to him before leaving and saying.

"And remember that I love you no matter what son."

Lloyd's father told him with a smile on his face, but internally he was hurt that he couldn't be there for his son. But he needed to be the man of the family and a positive role model for his children, and that meant keeping a level head throughout this whole ordeal. Lloyd looked at his father for a few seconds before opening the door to his Charger and getting in. With one flick of his wrist, the car started, and Lloyd took one more look at his father before saying.

"I love you too, dad."

Before Lloyd drove off, leaving him at the entrance of the airport alone and for the first time in a long time, the man let out one single tear as he felt like a scumbag for not being there for his son and protecting him, but maybe it's better this way he convinces himself as Lloyd is old enough to make his own decisions and this will make him a better man.

The man known as Eric turned around as he decided to head home with a heavy heart as he needed to continue to provide for his family. Despite all of his wishes to be there for his son.

***Cut back to Lloyd***

"I have no regrets."

Lloyd said those words to harden his resolve over his actions before slamming the breaks of his car and turning as the car in front of him swerved to avoid something. He came to a screeching halt as he stared straight into the eyes of an abnormal girl who seemed lost and disoriented like a deer in headlights. He stared her down, and this would mark the start Lloyd and Scarlett's complicated relationship.

(Surprise Tuesday, But I will mainly upload on Wednesday unless I get the chapter done faster than expected.)
