Romes pov
I could not wait for my first day of school
This would be my first year away from my parents and my god was it liberatingI had made an agreement during my first year of highschool, I willingly take over the family business after I have 1 year of freedom
I of course have to continue attending school but school was a minor condition. In all honesty I am kind of looking forward to it- so long as it is nothing like the schools I'd seen at the movie theatre back home and the cringy shows my sister forced me to sit through because Dio mio! They were awful.Im staying in a small town house my parents use when they take business trips here and I have to say, it's beginning to grow on me.
All my life I've been haunted by my overbearing parents, they constantly watch my everymove. God forbid I say the wrong thing or walk the wrong way and 'ruin the family name' this year is finally the year I get to explore new things and learn more about myself away from my family"Yes ma'am he's right here"
-sort of away...
Nancy- my 'not a nanny'-nanny is watching over me while I'm here, she was also a small condition to my traveling abroad
She's cool... when shes not busy being-
"Don't say anything stupid" she said handing me the phone
-That.
.....
After a whole 30 minutes of my mothers nonstop rambling, I was finally able to end the call.
I love my mother but she since I turned 16 she hasn't stopped pestering me about my image and my future. She acts as though I'm doing drugs and fighting people. She can just be a lot sometimes.
I had 20 minutes to finish getting ready for my first day at school and by the time I left my front door I noticed how grey the sky was but if I didn't leave now I would be late on my first day and bless my soul if my mother heard.
I arrived with 5 minutes to spare till the 5 minute bell before first class and I have to say... I was nervous
Looking down I noticed my hands shaking...
Merda
Opening these big red doors and following the crowd of people in front of me hoping they'd lead the way, my heart started racing...
Not now. Please not now!
Hoping to get some privacy I ran to the closest door possible and attempted to re stablize my breathing.
In 1... 2... 3...
Out 1... 2... 3...Trying my best to do the breathing exercises I had done plenty of times before I began to feel my heart beat calm and my hands stopped shaking
Looking around I had noticed I was in a janitors closet leaning against a shelf that was just in front of the closed door
Just as I was straightening up to leave I heard something drop.
I've seen many scary movies and last I checked the foreigner is supposed to be the last kill not the first...
Quickly turning my head to see the source of the noise I genuinallly began to wonder if I was living a movie.
It was 2 kids making out in a janitors closet. They obviously did not want to be found so I did the only thing a person would do in this situation. I snuck away
Or at least I tried to steek away... that was until a bucket above my head fell onto the floor beside me, scaring both me and the couple. I attempted to hide again hopping they didn't see me and would just get back to what they were doing so I could leave but my life is not that lucky.
