Keely's sparkled dress shot beams of light reverberating around the room. She truly looked at home in this party scene. As she spun and twirled and threw her limbs around, Lucy stood in her shadow, desperately wanting to go home. As she got lost in her own head, she lost Keely, and the sea of bodies moving around her swallowed her whole. She tried to make her way through the crowd to the bar, if she could get another drink, or find Keely, Audrey. Hell! Even Dani or Colin maybe she could relax.

Her panicked thought pattern was broken by a large hand in the small of her back, Lucy gasped and turned to see a tall Nigerian man, in a handsome blue shirt. Sam Obisanya. She looked up and met his gaze, 'Hi' was about all she could manage, her anxiety blooming in her chest. As the pulsating movements of the dancefloor angered the anxiety monster growing inside her, she could do nothing to object Sam's hand guiding her through the sea of people.

'I wanted to introduce myself properly' the tall man spoke, directing her to a seating area where Collin and a few others were seated. 'Can I get you a drink?' Lucy nods,

'A beer would be great' Sam chucks her a thumbs up and waltzes up to the bar. Lucy turned back towards the group of boys before her,

'So Lucy,' Collin spoke, 'You havin a good time?'

Lucy slowly stirred as the piecing morning breeze snuck through her window, the kettle boiling away in the background. She was lying on her stomach, her blue silk dress crinkled around her, someone's denim jacket draped over her shoulder. As she went to lift her head, the world spun around her. She squeezed her eyes shut and gripped the sheets until it stopped. She slowly looked around her. She made it to her room, thank god.

As she slowly flopped out of bed, she rubbed her eyes and pulled off her dress, walking over to her suitcase and rooted around for something comfy, and eventually landed on some well-worn baggy denim overalls, with her favourite Foo Fighters tee underneath. She folded up the stranger's jumper and placed it on the end of her bed. As she looked into the mirror on the back of her door, she made a half-hearted attempt to wipe of last night's mascara, which was now flaking under her eyes. She griped the door handle, took a deep breath, and made her way outside to face her friends.

'Hey look what the cat dragged in!' she heard Damian say,

'Where's Audrey?' she groaned, and was answered by violent vomiting sounds emanating from the bathroom. She nodded, 'Yep, that checks out'. She walked over to the freshly boiled kettle, dragging her feet, and made herself a cup of tea and flopped down on the couch, head thumping. She pinched the bridge of her nose in an attempt to relieve the pain, to no avail.

Marie can and sat next to her on the couch, put on the tellie and gave her some Panadol for her headache. 'So, want to tell me what you did? Wanna tell me who you did?' she smiled.

'I can tell you who Audrey did?' Lucy replied, as the nights memories started to return and the Panadol entered her system.

'I didn't "do" anyone' Lucy turned to see Audrey, pale and wearing a matching sweat set. Her make up was strewn across face and her hair was tied back in a ponytail on top of her head. Lucy shot her a questioning look,

'What about Dani?' realization dawned on Audrey's face, as Marie gave her some Panadol and water, a shit-eating grin on her face. Audrey cringed,

'Fuck'

The girls had actually had a really good time.

Audrey told her friends all about her sexcapade with one of Damian's many football heros, Dani Rojas, with a few too many details for Lucy's washing machine stomach. She talked about how she danced with a player with a French accent, how she couldn't remember his name, and how she ran or, danced, into Keely Jones.

Lucy reminisced on her experiences with Keely, how kind she was. She also told her friends about the chat circle she ended up in, and how it consisted of Sam Obisanya, Colin Hughes, Issac McAdoo, Jan Maas and Moe Bumbercatch.

'I'm sorry, WHAT!?' Damian yelled,

'Dude, turn of your mouth siren off' Lucy groaned in reply.

'Oh, I'm sorry for freaking the fuck out about you meeting some of the greatest footballers of our generation!!'

Marie shot him a look, causing him to roll his eyes and mumble something about the boys as he walked to his and Marie's room. 'Ignore him' she said, 'what did you talk about?'

                                                                                       ***

'So Lucy,' Collin spoke, 'You havin a good time?'

She turned to Colin and smiled, 'I am actually', gaslighting herself into believing the clear lie.  Sam returned with her beer, and she thanked her luck stars it wasn't another Fosters.

Sam sat down, and was the first to speak, 'So Lucy, I'm Sam' he put his hand on his chest as though Lucy had never heard of him before, then pointed to each player in the circle, 'that's Issac' Issac nodded his introduction, 'Bumbercatch' Moe offered a small wave, 'Jan Maas and course you know Collin.' Lucy gave each of them a smile and a wave, before sipping at her beer.

'I'm sorry about your guy's loose yesterday.' She spoke, trying to make small talk.

'Jamie Tartts a right prick if you haven't gathered already.' Collin replied.

'I heard he's ditched Man city for reality TV, some Love Island rip off?' Jan stated.

They kept making small talk, and Lucy was relaxing into the party's environment, and 4 beers deep, she spotted Audrey and Dani running off somewhere in Collin's house. She laughed to herself.

'Right' Issac spoke, 'Nuff small talk.' We're playing 20 questions with Lucy.'

'You're telling me, you played 20 questions with these boys?' Marie questioned, eyebrow raised, 'not never have I ever or truth or dare, or any other normal party games?'

'Well, I mean its a valid request,' She answered, 'they know like nothing about me'

'Also,' Audrey interjected, 'We are so watching Jamie Tartt make a mock of himself on tellie'. Lucy turned to her friend,

'Oh 100%!' She smiled, 'anyways, back to my story..'

'Right' Issac spoke, 'Nuff small talk.' We're playing 20 questions with Lucy.'

Lucy winced, she hated the under of being put under the spotlight. But to her dismay, the boys were nodding,

'Boyio over 'ere is right,' Collin agreed, 'We know like nothin' about you! You didn't think you could be our nurse and have your life mystery, could you?'. He took a drink of his beer,

'Ok fine!' Lucy put her hands up defensively, then downed the remaining half of her beer. 'What do you want to know?'

'You dating anyone?' one of them asked, making Lucy cringe.

'Right then, straight into the nitty gritty then.' She was wishing she hadn't drained that beer so quickly, 'no, I'm not dating anyone. Next'

'If you could travel back in time to fuck any celebrity, who would it be?'

'They hit you with all the questions!' Marie exclaimed, both girls were laughing so hard they nearly peed their pants.

'At least they can say they know you now!' Audrey managed through fits of laughter,

'I think the real question is, who is the celebrity?' Marie enquired, after she had gathered herself.  Lucy looked at Audrey, knowing she knew exactly who she was going to say, and in unison they answered,

'Roger Taylor!'
