My BodyGuard Part 1

I'm a kpop idol and I thought I would never say those words in my life but here I am. Today I got a call from JYP Entertainment.

I made it into the group. If you like Kpop you will know who that is. I have always wanted to be a singer and dancer even though my family told me I couldn't. As soon as I can remember I was in love with music I guess you can say I was singing straight from the womb.

My family didn't really support the choice I made. They think the company is going to get rid of me because I'm black. I don't blame them for thinking that.

It's not heard of to have a black woman in a kpop group. I was a little nervous too but I was not going to pass up the opportunity because I was too scared to try. I am still a miner so I have a house mother when I get to Seoul. 

I'm a little nervous about that but I think I will be fine. I am fluent in Korean and Spanish so I'm not to worried language barrier. My mom and dad are helping me get ready. Bye mom bye dad love you guys.

Bye sweetheart, call me when you land so we know you're safe. Bye I don't want you to come back with a boyfriend in any kind of way, do you understand. Dad can you just be normal for once in your life say goodbye to your kid without a lecture for once, and you walk away, ok whatever.

You know how dads are honey. Whatever mom i'm going to miss you so much. I will miss you go get 'em girl !! As I walk to my gate I realize this is the start of a new life. I'm leaving NYC to move to Seoul, Korea to be an idol. It just sounds unbelievable.

The flight was so long I was just ready to get to where I was staying. When I landed a guy was standing at my gate.  I knew he was looking for me because he had my name on a sign he was asking people leaving the plane if they were me.

He was very tall. It was a surprise because I'm not a short person. I'm around 5 '5 so it was a little surprising to see someone taller than me. I'm so used to people being shorter than me. He did look older than me though.

He looks around nineteen. He had me by two years. He saw me and we made eye contact. I just waved and I asked him if he was looking for me. He just stared at me and it made me a little uncomfortable. I asked him again, "Are you looking for me?" He jumped up like he was sleeping and said, Yes , sorry about that.

This guy was odd. I was used to people being weird I live in New York, but he was just weird to me. He escorted me to my luggage and the car that was waiting for me. It was a jeep. I love a jeep and it was black i felt so famous.

I called my mom when I landed so she knew I was safe. The car drive was so nice, everything here is so nice. The driver asked me if I was excited to work with JYP. He was one of the drivers for JYP.

He was surprised because he doesn't see many black girls at the company so he was surprised to see one that was this spoken of so quickly at the company.

I said I was lucky because I don't know how I made the final cut for this girl group. He started laughing. I finally got to the place I will call home for the next four months.  The guy that was at the airport was waiting for me at the house.

The driver said goodbye to me and I waved goodbye. I think he is going to be my fav person here now. The guy from the airport was even taller than he looked like at the airport lord had mercy.

What was his mom feeding him? This guy looked like shaquille o'neal big body ass dude. I was dying in my head looking at this guy. He wasn't ugly he was just big as hell. When he started talking to me I was a little flustered.

His voice sounded like the guy Felix from Stray kids. It was so hot. I tuned out everything he said. I need help. I just got here and I'm already drooling.  I can do this right now. I need to stay focused. I asked him to repeat what he said again.

He smirked. I said I'm your BodyGuard and you need to go to meet everyone at the company so hurry. Oh great so you're telling me you are going to be around me all the time. Yes, Madam . smirking again. Is there something funny? No Madam, oh ok then.

I called the driver back so he can take you there. I will be there when you arrive. Of course you are. God help me, I can't do this.
