Lullaby(Thor and Loki's Sister)

She was still the same as I remembered. Beautiful. The mother I always remembered. Her arms wrapped around me and hugged me tightly, giving me that safe, warm feeling I've missed. I sighed, closing my eyes as I just stood there with her.

"Oh, Valerie, you've grown to such a beautiful young woman." She spoke, moving some of my hair from my face. My eyes scanned hers, my hands trembling as I smiled.

"Mom, I thought you died." I spoke as I swallowed, the sun pouring down on everyone outside.

"I do too. But I was saved by something so powerful. And now I see my beautiful little girl, all grown up. I couldn't ask for anything better." She said as a tear rolled down her cheek.

Steve slowly walked over to me, placing his hand on my shoulder as I looked at him and smiled. "Thank you for encouraging me." I whispered as I swallowed.

"I believe celebration is in order." Father spoke with a smile. "All our children together again and with us." He said as he sighed. "Our princess, home safely." He said.

Thor looked at our father and sighed. "Father, she left because she didn't want to be a princess." He said softly.

I swallowed as I looked down and then back up at my parents. "I was so scared and worried I would fail you." I said as I rubbed my arm. "So I went to earth, believing I would fit in there, and I do. I was accepted as an avenger, and now me and Steve," She looked at Steve and lightly took his hand. "He chose me as his girlfriend." I said as I looked back at my parents and then to Thor and Loki, who stood off to the side.

My mother smiled and just shook her head. "Don't worry. Thor is next in line for the throne, and we will not pressure you. And you and your friends are welcome to stay for as long as you like." She said with a wide smile.

"But I believe your father is right on celebrating." Steve said to me as I looked at him. I gave a small nod.

"But yes, let's celebrate." I said as I was soon wrapped in a big hug with father and mother. Thor and Loki decided to join, knowing Mother would most likely yell at them if they didn't.

It had been a while since the reunion. Mother took me with her into her chambers to get ready with me for the small celebration. Although it seemed they wanted a big one, I wanted a small. I smiled as one of the maids stood behind me, braiding my long hair.

"Clara, I would prefer if her hair was down. She looks most beautiful with it down." Mother spoke as she slipped into her golden dress and smoothed it out. Her hair was up like usual, and her crown rested on her head.

Clara nodded, removing the braid from my hair and giving a small bow to me as she handed me my dress. A simple yet elegant blue dress that went down to the floor. I swallowed as I accepted it and walked behind the curtain to change. As I slipped into the dress, it was made of a comfortable silk I wouldn't mind wearing through the night.

As I walked out, Mother gasped and placed a hand to her mouth. The sleeves of the dress rested on my arms and went down to my wrist. The collar was cut down till it reached my breasts, only showing the cleavage.

I knew then she was happy. "My, you look so beautiful, my daughter." She said as she took my hands and sighed as she looked at me. "I am so glad you are here." She said as she pulled me into the tenth hug of that day.

"Now come, let's celebrate with everyone." She said, handing me a pair of black flats. "I figured you'd want to wear comfortable shoes." She said as she slipped on her heels and walked to the door with me behind her after slipping on my shoes. I thought the night would go smoothly, and I was praying I could at least get some alone time with Steve.

Hopefully, nothing bad would happen tonight.
