I run, I run as fast as I can. But the man can teleport. Fly. My blonde hair slaps into my bloody face, but I ignore it. The only thing on my mind is getting away from HIM. My legs start hurting, slowing down. I glanced behind my worn out self. He was there, floating just a few feet behind me. I turned back quickly, not seeing the ridged rock directly in front of me. I tripped.
A nightmare come true.
I was so far away from the giant fortress. I couldn't get back up. My scrawny arm hurt. I saw the scrapes and blood through my ripped up sleeves. I was done for. I was suddenly jerked upwards by the man. He had hatred and disgust clearly written on his face as he glared at me. Too weak to attempt to fight the powerful man, I just hung there, drained of energy.
The next thing I knew, I fell to the cold grass. The man had fallen also and had let go of his strong grasp. Somebody else was there, somebody I know. My head turned slightly so I could see him better. The strong man was laying on the ground, a thick, purple liquid flowing out of his chest. The scientist was there too, a red matter sword held tightly in his gloved hands. He didn't look at me. He was staring at the man, muttering under his breath.
I was carried by the scientist back to the fortress. He laid me down on a fluffy, white mattress. He takes my petite, bony hand in his. His eyes showed concern. He and I both know the powerful man is still living. I'm not safe. He is still searching, for me, the girl in the lab coat.
